There are two ways to tackle a branching in a Dialogue.
- The easiest and most likely very common way, is to use different Dialogue Outputs depending on the choice made by the player, which will branch in the Quest. Branching may require more dialogues blocks in the future in the Quest.
- The second one, requires a little bit more knowledge about algorithms and variables. By setting the value of a variable during an initial dialogue, you can start a following dialogue with a check to see the current value of the variable. This way, you only need to create one dialogue, instead of 2 (or more) in the Quest flow based on the choice made by the player. Branching occurs within fewer dialogues, thus looks more streamlined.
TL:DR
Option A: Branching may require more dialogues blocks in the future in the Quest.
Option B: Branching occurs within fewer dialogues, thus looks more streamlined.
I swear I have everything in place, everything is connected, I did only objectives after the first starters, it should work. However, I have so many branches and quests, which are only led to by certain choices, so I think maybe this is what could be causing an error? Too many variables in such an expansive world?

Have you attempted any Browser troubleshooting?
Otherwise, I would recommend reducing some of your branches as a test to see if this improves at all
Yes, I have.Originally Posted by Ubi-Swaggins Go to original post
I don't get why it would have been working up until just recently. I've been using the same browser before this issue started occurring and it happened to me randomly. There's no variables in the stories (someone has mentioned this could be a possible fix in another thread); the dialogue trees are done properly from what I know about linking blocks; there's no un-linked blocks that could also cause this issue.
I will try clearing my browser history and loading then re-saving my stories and see if it works (it didn't work before but I'll give it another go for posterity's sake).
I'm also playing AC:Odyssey on the PS4 so I'm not sure how to do the Uplay fix on my console by making sure it's "up to date" as suggested by @Ubi-RealDude.
Thanks for the response @Ubi-Swaggins, I'll quote reply this post on what happens with the troubleshooting.
So far I've deleted my browser history including cookies and other cached data yet I'm still experiencing this issue. I've even tried loading then re-saving my drafts on different browsers (which I don't fully understand why that would be an issue but I digress) and still I'm experiencing this issue...Originally Posted by ASRU7-5 Go to original post
Is there anything else I should be trying (even though it says that it's on Ubisoft's end in the error message)?
I've found one possible cause in a story of mine, though I don't have a fix. Might be of use though... See this thread:
