Some General Feedback from a Rocket league Fanatic

First off this game has huge potential, is pretty fun and is easy to pick up, just like Rocket League.

I'm going to be comparing this game to Rocket League a lot as it can learn a lot from it and this game is Rocket League + Lucio ball mashed together and I love it. This is also going to be kinda broken up into bullet points so I can put together my thoughts better.

As far as my critique goes the good is you have a very fun very "easy to play hard to master" game with lots of potential, with this said however there is stuff that needs fixing mainly the controls.

So on an Xbox One controller, X is to tackle, Y is to pass, A is to jump, B is to brake, Left analogue stick to control movement, Right analogue stick to look around, Right trigger to accelerate, Left trigger to "pump", Right bumper for the chat wheel and Left bumper to shoot when you have the ball and the D-Pad for Emotes. These controls are fundamentally broken as the binding for Ball Cam shouldn't have me stop moving or concentrating on movement. I suggest changing shoot to Right bumper and Pass to Left bumper as this minimizes the amount of buttons one finger has to press (Ask anyone who has played Rocket League for a while why they changed from the default controls and that will be their answer) move Ball Cam to Y and change D-pad to chat options instead of emotes as these are more important in game than Emotes but still not essential and should be easy accessed. The goal for the controls here should be to have them fully customizable to give the player to opportunity to optimize them to improve there skill level and raise the skill ceiling of the game.

Second issue is the Ball cam, my suggested control changes fixes an issue with the Ball Cam being hard locked to the ball as it allows the player to switch cameras while being able to move and track the ball and other players as the cam will lock to the ball and swing very heavily and quickly when the ball is near the player, Rocket league has the same problem and players use switching from Ball cam to better orientate themselves however the Ball cam should be a little softer in my opinion as this will allow the player to move their eyes with the ball and get more immersed this change should also be applied to the non-Ball cam as it shouldn't be locked to one direction after moving it a bit it should follow the player around the track and change direction accordingly how ye do this for better feel and field awareness is going to need to be played with a lot. (I gladly offer my services ) Adding customization to camera setting would be nice too as I feel moving the camera to be too high above my character and an increased FOV and camera sensitivity would be lovely.

My third issue would be with the ball physics, The ball seems pretty heavy and doesn't bounce often which is fine but it seems to stick to the walls and floor often and doesn't seem to be easily affected by gravity as it's lack of bounciness would indicate making the ball a little hard to read at times.

Fourth issue is with passing as I'm not really sure how this works as sometimes the ball will fly through me and around that track while sometimes i'll catch it and I can't figure out the difference in what I'm doing when this happens.

Fifth Issue is tackling, it's too hard to tackle an opponent who know's what the dodge button does.

Sixth issue, this game could really benefit from a training mode like Rocket Leagues, it'll allow players to work on mechanics such as building speed and quickly changing direction without interruptions and learn how the ball bounces and rolls around outside of possible ranked matches. you should also be able to cue from this mode as it'll let you warm up for the match and will make cue times more bearable.

Seventh issue is a big one the controls should be viewable in the main menu or options screen. This is a huge oversight in the E3 Demo and is something that just should be there.

My last point is to add ways of making flashy plays like spinning in the air, dunking on the rim, jumping off teammates or opponents stuff like that as it can make the game a lot more enjoyable and fun to watch just search Rocket League freestyles on Youtube and you can see why people love it so much, your game has the same potential, this will also increase the skill ceiling and allow people to be really creative with how they get past opponents and get on the score board and can be tied in with the fan system you have as people love watching flashy and clever plays so rewarding your players with extra fans for trying and pulling this stuff off would be really awesome to see.

That's all I really have to say right now I'm going to keep playing over the next few days and if there's another beta or alpha I'm definitely going to sign up and see if this game gets better as it has huge potential for both a player base and an E-Sport.

    Feedback for Rocket League

absolutely love the game. I was thinking about how great it would be if you could save your garage configures. For example like classes in Call of Duty but with the topper, antenna, wheels, etc. What do you all think?
