"The Assault Ghost we played as carried a light machinegun and silenced SMG by default (although there won't be any class-based restrictions on weaponry), and packed a unique smoke grenade, as well as extra health and the ability to move more easily with any kind of weapon"
I'm pretty sure the smoke grenade is actually the gas grenade talked about in their classes section on the main website
Seeing how the sharpshooter was the only class that could carry a sniper rifle and couldn't carry an LMG I'd say there are plenty of class restrictions.Originally Posted by ManticButton Go to original post
Yeah.. Shoot some enemies and have the magic ability to load in 3 high velocity rounds. That was sharpshooters ability, I never played any other classes. I like the class system personally as every elite soldier essentially has his specialities. But they could have gone round it a different way.
Cba going into detail now as it it's late, but for sharpsooter, allow higher magnification scopes, variable zoom, bipod for prone steady aim, just to name a few examples. Right now it feels they just locked us out of certain weapon types and called it a class.
we don't know how old the build they were playing was so they might have a latter build with out them
as for the super ability's they should be equipment instead
that spray appears to mess with drone sensors and is an ability for the panther
keep voicing your opinions you don't want restrictions or think the devs are going about classes the wrong way make sure to let ubisoft know
Honestly, ive been with the majority of sensible people about the whole ghost recon series and what does and doesn't belong in it. But for me, soldiers have specialities, I believe the class system if implemented properly should be incorporated. Granted there should be no weapon restrictions, but the class itself and the certain 'abilities' for lack of a better word should be broadened and set apart from the other classes (sniper holds breath longer bla bla), medic holds more meds (for example). Don't just lock us out of certain weapons and label it a class. There just seems to be no thought out solutions to these new implementations.

classes are fine as long as they encourage a type of gameplay style while not forcing it
