No need to be condescending UbiLucipus. We are aware of the initial Ubi statement about the raid mm, but apparently; we are not satisfied with it, That the reason why the OP started the discussion. I know there are a lot of threads about this topic already and I can understand that you and your company are tired of hearing it. Nevertheless, no need to mock us by posting the statement above, just decide not to answer if you have nothing constructive to say. Sorry, but this is what I think.
@Ubi-Lucipus - we really appreciate that you are trying to address this concern with a formal statement, but the developers have indeed indicated several times recently that they are looking for solutions. It would be REALLY helpful if you could get the developers to give a FORMAL ACKNOWLEDGMENT that matchmaking is definitely happening, but more importantly, an OFFICIAL TIMELINE when it will be IMPLEMENTED.Originally Posted by Ubi-Lucipus Go to original post
We understand that these types of statements take time to filter through the organization, but please seek more detailed feedback to match those statements that the developers have indicated publicly already. As you can sense, this is a SUPER SENSITIVE topic in the community, and proper detail and a clear timeline would be sincerely appreciated. Thanks.
Your information is outdated. Read...Originally Posted by Ubi-Lucipus Go to original post
Thankfully, however, Ubisoft is addressing the issue, and the game’s associate creative director, Chadi El Zibaoui, says that proper matchmaking will definitely make its way to the game. Exactly what form that will take is still unclear, but more details are likely to come out in the not too-distant future.
Speak for yourself. I don't appreciate being taken for a fool, and linking that nonsense is taking me for a fool.Originally Posted by Deltium Go to original post
I really really cant wait for it to happen! At this point its not imaginable what storm of complainments will flood the forums after they did. Stay tuned, it will be hillarious.Originally Posted by vvhorus Go to original post
Besides this i have a feeling, that some of the players who complain about no ingame MM tried out the options they have atm, but made bad expiriences with unorganized groups and leaving/quiting players and now they think MM can solve that problem?!
Also the ingame MM needs to be proper, for example: dude A has Weasel CP, dude B has Boomer CP, dude C starts fresh and so on. Now imaging there are some teams bussy with Boomer and it takes a while till some is frustrated/or has to leave and makes a spot free for dude B. So or so it will take a while to get access to the Raid. Might be faster after reset when everybody has to start fresh. Ingame MM or not, 3rd party platforms for LFG will still be relable.
I'm sure the hassle of having to use a service outside of the game to matchmake for the raid is preventing many players from participating. LFG chats do not guarantee that a player won't leave or disconnect due to life, rage or bad connection, nor will guarantee that the other players in your group are properly geared or even know what they're doing. If you are part of a big active clan or have no problems finding a group outside the game to raid, then automatic matchmaking is not meant for you (speaking in general). AMM is meant for solo players, small clans, and the like, which I'm willing to bet is the vast majority of the total playerbase. AMM won't solve anything other than make it easier for anyone to queue for the raid. We'll see when (or if) it happens...Originally Posted by uhuriger Go to original post
It would be a shame, though, for the devs to have wasted all that time, money and effort into an activity that only a very small percentage of the playerbase will ever do, when their intent was for everyone to try it.
I am not sure how I feel about a matchmaking system for the raid. It has been a frustrating experience grouping up with randoms using their LFG on their official discord. These randoms don't listen and they don't realize the time commitment required for the raid. An infuriating experience to keep rotating players in and out because of disconnects, rage quits, life issues, etc. I met some really toxic di*ks on that discord as well. It does ruin the experience.
Very Disappointing.Originally Posted by Ubi-Lucipus Go to original post
I don't get this obsession with sending players outside the game to find raid members inside the game.
Most know that raids require communication, and for those who don't they'll likely will learn quickly that a mic is important; most player's aren't stupid. What can't be helped is not having a convenient way in game to find players for Raids. In the players' eyes this is exactly one of the failures of Destiny.
Matchmaking or Matchmaking with settings is an obvious solution.
If there are unseen consequences if MM were added, how about you let us know.
