I'll keep it straightforward. Here's what we need:
- Toyota AE86 - Yes, I know, Toyota doesn't really include their cars anymore. There's only one car that they should accept at the very least: the 1983 Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86. This car is old, gold, and adored by almost everyone! Toyota should get included in games again. Their cars are loved in many games. I mean, they had the AE86 in Gran Turismo Sport, so that's a start (and yes, I get that they allowed it in GT because GT is a realistic, professional, closed-course racing game, and The Crew 2 is not, so don't nag me about that, please). I just want this one and only car in the game. If that's the only car we get, without the Supra, MR2, and Celica, I'll be satisfied as it is. And a PROPER AE86 Trueno, not that cheesy GT-S from America, because literally almost every racing game uses it. If it's a Left-Hand Steering/Left-Hand Drive vehicle I don't care (because this game doesn't have RHD vehicles), as long as it's the JDM AE86 we know and love.
- Two More RX-7s - Specifically, the FC3S Efini Savanna, and the FD3S Efini Type-R. Yes, I know we already have an FD, but I was wanting a standard one, like the 1990's model. Currently, we only have the FD3S Spirit-R, which a lot of games with an FD pick over the standard FD. I'm not picky, it's okay if we can't get this one, but I just prefer it over the Spirit-R.
- Custom Time/Weather - You know how in Photo Mode, you can change the time and weather? When you exit Photo Mode, the changes don't stay. I was wanting a fully-implemented time and weather system that can be player-controlled, so if I wanted to, I could have the time and weather forever locked at midnight and stormy (for a NFS 2015 feel), or noon and sunny. This is just kind of a needed thing, it'd make the game a lot better. When you do online races and stuff, it'd go back to some server-wide thing I suppose, but in Free Roam you can still control it (or I guess you can turn it off too to sync it to the server's time/weather).
- Offline Gameplay - Man, this is kind of a pet peeve for me, and I'm sure it is for a lot of you; the bloody online-only gameplay. I don't like when games only can be played online. There should be a standard offline mode. Besides, does it matter whether you're online or not when you're just going to have a solo Sunday drive in Vegas or just doing the singleplayer races in the story mode?
- Toggle Cosmetic Damage/Dirt - Got this idea from Forza Horizon and honestly I like this idea; the ability to turn off the damage and dirt would be great (dirt I don't really care about, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to turn it off when preferred). Don't you hate your car always looking beat-up in the front and stuff when you like go to do anything, for example? And you can't like repair it, either, the game's "repair system" is that over time it just slowly goes away or something.
- Avatar Changing at Any Time - You pick your character at the start of the game but it's not that bad of an idea to be able to change it to someone else at any given time.
- Vanity Plates - The original The Crew had this feature (although it wasn't a proper system, it was just preset plates and stuff you could get, like that one "KING POLO" plate). It'd be nice if The Crew 2 had this feature and could maybe even expand on it. Pick a state and pick your lettering, or even just have a blank one that you could slap decals on and save a preset of, IDK.
- RHD, maybe? - A Right-Hand Steering/Right-Hand Drive Nissan Skyline doesn't sound correct, does it? Maybe some tweaking and they could put RHD vehicles in the game?
- Native Logitech G25 Wheel Support - The G27 is supported, why not the G25? They're not even that much different from each other, other than the G27 has more steering wheel buttons, LED Tachometer, and is quieter, and the G25 has a "Sequential Stick Shift" feature built in.
I know this is probably a lot to ask for (and yeah, it probably is), and I know a lot of you will probably strike this stuff down, but I'm just saying that if most of these features were implemented into the game, there'd be a LOT more people playing. In fact, I guarantee it. This game is missing some key features that, if added, could completely turn the tables. Yes, I know, this isn't Gran Turismo. Yes, I know, this isn't Forza Horizon. Yes, I know, this isn't Need For Speed, even. But those games are, well, other games. Some people don't really like those franchises but still want some of their features. It's kind of a mess getting into this debate, so I'd prefer to stay out of it, at least as of now. I hope you guys can understand me with where I'm coming from when it comes to new ideas.
Also, I highly doubt that Ivory or Ubisoft will see this, and if they did, they may or may not care, but hey, if you guys are, let's make this game more enjoyable, eh? Thanks for your time and patience.

Another feature I forgot to add to the list: Window Tinting - Being able to tint your windows whatever color and however opaque you want them. If you wanted a solid black tint, go for it? This also includes actually tinting the front windshield, too. Some games only tint the side and rear but the front should be tinted, too. It's not like a non-tinted front window will matter in the cockpit view, you'll just see through all your windows, anyways, so eh. Besides, tinted front windshields make the car look better in my opinion. If you really wanted it, though, you could probably toggle an option to tint the front windshield or not.
Hey there, first off, the moderative side of my post: I merged your posts into one. If you want to add something to your previous post, you can edit your message by clicking the + underneath it and then clicking on "Edit Post":
Now, I'll address some of the points you've made (personal opinion, of course). You should forget about the Toyota AE86 because Toyota has pulled out of racing games these days, at least with street cars. The only cars they let games use are vehicles made for racing (Trophy Trucks, for example). And in my opinion, both the AE86 as well as the RX7s are not really a "must have", just a personal wish which for example I could not even care less about.
Custom time and weather as well as offline gameplay go hand in hand: without offline gameplay, being able to set time and weather won't happen. And since offline gameplay won't happen in general... well, there's that. And I personally see no problem with the game being online, but like I said, personal opinions in this post. The thing is though: if the game was offline, cheating would probably become a lot easier. Like you play the game offline, use some software to alter your money/followers, close the game, connect back online, local savefile gets uplaoded to servers.
Toggle for cosmetic damage: all of my yes. I hate how easily cars deform, hated it in TC1 already, especially with Rally Raid cars when going through bushes and other shrubbery. I mean these cars are made for going cross country, why do I get "punished" for it by doing so?
The ability to change your avatar at any time is something I'd also like to see. Or at least more options for your avatar, because the options we have right now are laughable. I want more colour-neutral racing suits, like maybe one that is black with a bit of white in it. We can't even remove the default headwear (beanie, basecap) on our character, while for the AI it's possible:
In addition to character customisation, I would love to see the ability to make several presets (Outfit A, Outfit B, Outfit C) and when customising the car, I want to be able to choose which preset to use with that car. This way, I can have my character look different in street cars and in touring cars.
RHD - highly doubt it'll happen. They'd have to remodel the cars, add new animations, and presumably even get permission to change these cars, which costs time and money. Not worth it at all.
Window tinting is already in the game, came in with the Hot Shots update.
Okay, thanks for telling me about the "Edit Post" thing. That's what I was gonna do but didn't see it, thought the plus would just do the same thing that "Reply" button did, or that they were just one button. Anyways...
What do you mean? If you're talking about putting black stickers on the windows, that can take too much effort to make, and sometimes it may not even look right (for example, some cars are modeled in a strange way so the sticker will bleed over without you getting near the edge of the window). I'm talking about like a proper built-in tint feature.Originally Posted by DatWut Go to original post
And what do you think of the custom time/weather thing? Assuming there's no offline feature coming soon, what if it was only just like a client-side thing for the player when in Free Roam, and then everywhere else it set your time and weather to whatever server-side time/weather the server is on. Or maybe you could still stay online but create private sessions or something like that and you can change the stuff from there? And I can also see what you mean with cheating. There could maybe be some way where there's an offline anti-cheat or something. Something that can detect if you have any processes in the background like Cheat Engine or something.
Yeah, I can see what you mean with the whole RHD thing. I can agree it will probably take a bit of effort to do. Just kinda figured it made sense, at least for some of the cars.
"Can take a lot of effort is not a valid argument in my opinion. Like, sometimes you have to put effort into things. That's just the way it is. But I do agree with the way cars are modelled and that it leads to issues. For example, I remember when I made a livery for the Corvette ZR1 and wanted to make the back window black. I could not do it because parts of the shape I put on the window would carry over to the car's body. IVT should have made windows into their own thing in the livery editor (so that you have front, back, sides, top, front window, rear window and side windwos as "sides" to look at).Originally Posted by MrWallace888 Go to original post
While the current weather system annoys me to great extents (weather changes every 5 minutes are just terrible), I don't thing client sided weather would work, since vehicle handling is also affected by weather. And what do you think of the custom time/weather thing? Private sessions is something I could get behind though, but not because of the ability to change weather and time of day.
TVR Sagaris, 'nuff said.Yeah, I can see what you mean with the whole RHD thing. I can agree it will probably take a bit of effort to do. Just kinda figured it made sense, at least for some of the cars.![]()
Oh yeah, the whole thing in The Crew with the Sagaris roof or something like that lol. Also, I didn't know the cars were affected by weather.Originally Posted by DatWut Go to original post
I can agree with that. At least that as a feature would make it easier.Originally Posted by DatWut Go to original post

Well, not necessarily easier, but at least it would work properly.I can agree with that. At least that as a feature would make it easier.
