    AC symbol at Pettau Slovenia castle

    I went to visit our catle in our city of Ptuj (Pettau) in Slovenija (Slovenia) today and stumboled upon an symbol similar to the assassins creed one... i'v asked around a bit and there have been anti templar movements at this castle 🤔

    The picture should be fliped right for 90° ... sorry about that. Our city is old tho... this year we cellebrate 1950 years of the first mentioning in writings

    Not every inverted V is related to the Assassins. The one on Spartan shields is the letter Lambda which stands for "Lakedaimon," for example.

    And also an old heradric French symbol, which passed to England after the French invasion of 1066. And other countries used it too, during all middle age.

    Fun fact: Both V and Λ were letters of the Greek alphabets that existed centuries before the events of Odyssey. The ancient Greek alphabets had two Lamdas: Λ and L. The latter became the modern English L. The Euboean Greek alphabet looks almost identical to the modern English alphabet.
