Why do people leave so quickly on the last boss?

Really don't understand. We get through the rest of the raid with everyone being patient with wipes, 5-6 times no problem. Ok, make it to the last boss and everyone wants to leave after 2-3 tries. Why? Of all bosses the last one should be the one where you buckle down and get at it.

I'd wager mental fatigue and loss of patience. Same people were probably having to give themselves pep talks to stay until the final boss. I haven't done the raid yet but that's what it usually boiled down to in other games with raids that I've played.

People want to be carried by groups that can get it done quick. Also it is hard if your group isnt good or yours/their build isnt optimized enough. If the 2 people covering their generator cant kill a Chungus, its going to be next to impossible to do it because when you get Razorbacks health to half then 2 Chunguses spawn at the same time while you are fighting adds, etc.

To be honest the initial boss encounters are pretty simple and easier to handle with a less coordinated group.
Take a look at the progression of mechanics:
    1) If targeted drag infront of turret, shoot chest when green, zerg headshots when he goes down, kill adds when available/press computers when called out
    2) Zerg bosses, flip gas every 10-12, use wall/barriers as grenade blocker
    3) Damage equally, watch Buddy heal, keep split in separate rooms, burn Buddy when both are getting low
    4) Charging mechanics, vent mechanics, weak points, drones, adds, Heavy, barrages, etc

The 4th encounter just has much more to handle and if your pug group isnt rolling some survivalists in combination with some dps that are rocking merciless it can be more pain than it is worth. Not saying it isnt doable without these factors, but they significantly add advantage to a less coordinated pug group. What I've experienced with groups on this fight is that you tend to get a few people that were definitely carried through the raid. They are very poorly geared and tend to not stay alive very long in the encounters. This is something a team can make up for in earlier fights, but in the end boss it is longer and has raid wipe mechanics that require everyone to do their part. It is also a fight where you can very clearly tell who doesnt really know what they are doing with the mechanics: Running into the circles before people are ready to start the fight, not shooting or grenading the vent and making the other person perform both, getting downed every time the barrages occur post dps phase.

Pretty common on most raids in other games to be honest. It's the reason why a lot of MMO's now have casual raids. These casual raids engage a lot more players, including hardcore raiders that are eager to get more loot outside of the normal raid lock restrictions. Usually it's for alts. In some games you'll find hardcore raiders leading casual raids for this reason.

I have not raided yet but do many missions and I have noticed the people are only doing missions to get the highest DPS. No skill just rush noobs running in front of everyone squirting shots at anything that moves. PUG's in any game are the same. Looks like TD2 will also end up either lowest dps'ers getting kicked from raids of everyone quitting because they cant walk through a raid and keep dying.
Noone uses tactics and skill in PUG's.

I have not run raid and am not interested in running it, but to call players rush noobs is a bit strong in this game , what else is there?... The builds in this game are dead in the wind, you have dps dps and dps.. other builds are not worth the farming time or energy to get anywhere in the game.. Raid should be opened up to everyone with matchmaking ..They should have sat down and had a rethink of the state of the game before they released raid, and gave us some builds worthy farming for..
