    Can't save a game

    I've been speaking to the support team about this and they have said. and i quote
    "Following our recent conversation through the Live Chat, I was able to check with the Anno 1800 team, and we have been receiving additional reports from other players of the save game crashing when trying to save the game, after the last update.

    Please know the Development team is aware of this issue and is currently investigating.

    At the moment, the only workaround we can offer, is to start a new game, until this issue is fixed. However, I understand you have already started a new game and the issue persists, to this workaround does not apply to you.

    I would like to ask you to keep an eye on the forums for additional updates on this:

    Now, I would of though a problem of this size was hotfixed instantly, it was'nt. Looking around the forums and there is literally no update on this, what am I meant to do? just keep restarting a new game everytime? Can we have an update on this?

    Oh, and just to add, the problem was not with the save game crashing. I literally can not save them game. It even tells me as a notification ingame there was a problem saving the game. This started to happen after patch 3.

    Figured out, it was actually windows that was blocking the save. It blocked the anno1800.exe.

    Thanks though and if anyone else has the same problem after updating windows and anno, well now you know.

    The new Windows Defender exploit guard / folder protection blocks Saving even if anno1800.exe is excluded as it protects the Documents folder.

    Cannot Save Game

    Good morning guys, i've just buyed the Special Edition yesterday, but i realize that i cannot save the game. Error " Failed to save game"

    I've tryed to run as administrator but still the same problem.

    Can someone help me out here ?

    Just to confirm, is your windows and windows defender fully updated?

    Did you follow the steps above?
