    Hahahhaha did you ever checked WL throw ranged ?

    I never expected devs to know their job, but did anyone checked the throw range before updating the new nerf ?

    It's basicaly a side throw, no ranged throw anymore ) well done.

    But it is also true the ranged nerf on the throw is huge, i didnt expect it to reduce that much the throw distance.
    Shaman throw is a lot shorter too now.

    I never got on to check it out yet, good to see they put a solid nerf on a mediocre hero though, with this dev team, I'm not surprised at all. They have no idea what they're doing.

    Here are the exact changes and the reasoning behind them:
    Warlord

    Front Throw distance reduced by 1.0m and reduced animation length by 200ms
    Left Throw distance reduced by 1.75m and reduced animation length by 200ms
    Right Throw distance reduced by 1.75m and reduced animation length by 200ms
    Back Throw distance reduced by 0.5m
    Crashing Charge distance reduced by 1.0m and reduced animation length by 200ms
    Developer comments: The Warlord’s throw distance previously allowed fairly easy access to ledging or wall-spatting opponents in all directions. By slightly reducing how far and how long the throw can go, we’ll slightly reduce its efficiency – while still allowing Warlord’s throws to be dangerous.

    Shaman

    Front Throw reduced 0.50m
    Left Throw reduced 0.75m
    Right Throw reduced 1.00m
    Back Throw reduced 1.50m
    Developer comments: The Shaman’s throw distance was very high in all directions. This will reduce her efficiency when ledging or wall-splatting opponents in all directions, while still allowing her to connect to her throw follow-ups.

    Yes, I've already seen this explanation, I just don't think it's a very good one. The devs explain LBs mediocre rework as trying to preserve his identity, yet the "Ledgelord" gets his throw distance nerfed, while the Raider can still carry you a quarter mile while draining your stamina.

    I just think any nerf to a character in the same position to WL should be accompanied with a buff, he's already in need of a buff, and he's being nerfed instead, almost 2 meters is a pretty huge nerf for throw distance, so much for "preserving his identity", I guess that excuse is only used when it suits the devs.

    Without going into details, like I do here, Warlord needs to be adjusted in the following areas.

    • Make the Full Block more consistent and worth using.
    • Make the Shield Counter worth using.
    • Make the basic top light baseline.

    After vortiger i just took off, now this. It is way to much incompetence and careless, man after more Than 3 years they realised the problem with Warlord Was the throw distance.
    It was one of his viable tools and his mark on the battlefield, What is left now?!
    Just forget it, it’s not worth the time and stress.
