    Specialists changes on the PTS

    Hey folks,

Just heard about a few changes to the specialist skill trees. Could anyone having access to the PTS offer some insights please?

And what do you think personally about these changes at all?

    Thanks in advance

Just checked it quickly this morning, all specialization have all weapons now.
So can get increased damage to marksman rifles as demo, or lmg as sniper n so on.

And sidearms have upgrades, didn't look at this but guess we can finally get higher GS versions of them.

Wanted to have a look at all the skills for gunner but it wasn't unlocked, even with the 1 year pass.

That does sound interesting. Is there a downside to this change?

    And while we're at it:
What about grenades? Are the special types maybe now also available for every specialization (after unlocking it with the respective one)?

For sure all trees now have passive bonus to the weapon of your choice. There's potential to max a couple it looks like with the amount of points available.

Reload speed is gone from SS. HD is ONLY for MRs and Rs. Not sure about stability.

This is what I've gathered so far as I dont have access to PTS...but it looks like there are MAJOR changes here not remotely mentioned in the patch notes.

I guess removing HD from the sharpshooter specialisation skill tree is due to balancing. Buff your weapon of choice, get the stability, and in addition gain another 25% headshot damage seems a bit OP if you ask me.

I'd like to know if there are other changes to existing perks in the skill tree or if there are even new ones. Anyone?

    Cheers

The whole unlock process for gunner seems to be tiresome and i was tired of it already at tier 1 stage, roach was easy but the whole needing marksman rifle to rescue hostages and taking checkpoints as sharpshooter spec all of the control points in one sector and 2 of them are already green before i get started on that all of it just seems quite random, and i expect the next stage will be either all survivalist and or demo and so forth and stage 4 will be a mix of the 3 specializations.

The mods and such being removed with certain attributes such as my boost to explosives damage was bad enough this whole mod situation now in PTS seems weird and will take a lot of getting used to for me at least.

The changes to Specialist trees sound significant. Can I choose to keep the same damage boost to weapons without loss? I.e. 15% to Shotguns and ARs? I'm not sure I want to change that at the moment.

edit* It might help with exposure to other specialisations for those that only run one.

Pictures I saw show that you get to choose the weapon passive damage.

So no matter the tree you will be able to get 15% to ARs and Shottys. Or to LMGs and Shottys. Or Subs and MRs. Or Rs and ARs.

As TI says..."you can have whatever you like."

    That's reassuring, thank you.

You can max 3 weapon types in every spec at same time. HS bonus from sniper tree working now only for rifles and sniper rifles, which is very good change, no more dumb HS stacking with nemesis, etc in pvp. Side weapons now can be upgraded to 500 ilvl. No more reload speed perk.
