At least not in my eyes, I am still not convinced that Victoria is dead though. She could be. And if she is...well...that's surely nothing that could ruin the whole DLC for me. If they want, they can kill Leyla as well and I still would not care.
    i know right.

Wish they would ditch that part of the game entirely, couldnt care less what happens to them. I always click through those cutscenes as well

Vic could be dead or alive. I think she's alive. If you choose to kill Nikoloas, you're forced to *kill* Stentor, but Stentor shows up later in the story with severe scarring.

I was also thinking of Vic being a spy. She may have started out that way but started getting to like Layla. For the hack, it's possible Vic could have told Abstergo what to hack. They would have done so without her password or w/e to keep from blowing her cover. Vic possibly delayed the report on the location of Atlantis, or Abstergo intentionally waited for it to be unlocked before going there. Then again, it could be like the Lagos situation; Abstergo could be holding some of Vic's loved ones prisoner to force her cooperation. It just doesn't make sense for Vic to pull Layla out before Abstergo kills her, then get bent about Layla killing them. It kinda seems like playing both sides to me. It also seems like Vic wants Layla to stop so Abstergo doesn't act on any more intel.

Here's a wild thought: what if the Layla situation is Kass/Alexios running a sim of what would happen if they left the staff to her for a potential heir? Imho, the EB is the most worthy candidate to be heir. But yeah, sims within sims, multiple pasts, presents & futures, time not being linear, etc etc. Like I said, wild thought

Reminds me of the theories that the Desmond gameplay in AC1-AC3 was actually a simulation of someone reliving his memories.

If done carefully, something like that could be an interesting twist!

Why didn't she just put the staff in her hand to heal her?
    Too easy right...
    Gotta love plot holes.

I don't think that the staff can heal already existing wounds.

Oddly enough, between the choice of this or Elysium - this was my preferred episode.

Elysium skipped over a ton of "possible" choices - we were forced down a path when it seemed like there should've been options. Here, there were some options with outcomes that seem to have no real effect, but at least there's no pretense of this being anything but us doing Hades' bidding.

And if having a child "forced" upon our character, with the potential relationship it might have included ruins the prior DLC, then having a heavily suggested lesbian relationship seems to run even more likely to be the reason this DLC is ruined.

Personally, neither aspect has ruined it for me, but that's just me.

Was, as in past tense. If she was alive, she’d say is my friend.
That was certainly my interpretation of the events as well: that Layla didn’t want Victoria’s body moved or defiled in anyway. There were no signs or indications—that I noticed— that would lead me to believe that Victoria might have survived.

I’m not invested in Victoria. I find her annoying.

I do, however, really like Layla. I’m hoping she’ll become a long standing, modern day, protagonist. I really miss the more sophisticated modern day story telling of the earlier games. There are some disappointing plot holes in her development at this point, but *fingers crossed* I’m hoping things get nicely sorted.

Does anyone know if there is a way to ask the devs for clarification on this? I'd rather not have to wait almost six weeks to get an answer from the next episode.

I am not sad about Victorias Death. The Introduce her good in the main game and the Heir of memories quest line but in the DLC se get really annoying.

"The Staff or I!" she forced Layla to that and provoke her.

I know she was worried about the Sicker effect but Layla is the Heir of Memories she need to be in the Animus. Atlantis is open now and Abstergo is after them now, they don't have much time to find a solution. Victory want to stop the mission and leaf a City with powerful ISU technology who would be very dangerous in Templar Hands behind? What a dumb Idea.

I think the real problem about all that is the writing. I really love the modern Day and think its an important piece of assassins creed. Heir of Memories mission build up to an interesting Modern day part for Fate of Atlantis but in the dlc itself the cutscenes feeling like watching a sitcom.
