My friend got the division 1 for cheap, so I reinstalled the division 1 and began to play with him.
We enter the dark zone to get some loot, and we both instantly get ganked by a squad of player killers, despite the fact that we have no loot, and they get nothing from killing us.
My friend returns the game, and I uninstall it again. I got a reminder why I hate the game, and my friend understood why nobody likes the game.
Thanks guys.
lol
generalize much?
First, I love the game but to your point the DZ is potentially the most dangerous area of the game.
Without being geared and/or skilled you can expect to get killed extremely fast.
There's people roaming the DZ with day 1 levels of experience and the best gear, optimized to the max. And they may be in groups.
Know this, and know that you don't have to dash off into the area of the game clearly walled off in search of gear or things to do.
But if you and a buddy decide to do that despite the well known risk, then you should wait till you are better prepared or at the least learn to ghost around gathering loot.
But above all the DZ is high-risk and you learned the hard way.
Nothing is yours until it's extracted to your stash.
My advice would be to be more patient and not rush into that situation.
Learn how to do the more difficult missions first. Doing legendary missions or incursions or resistance, all t hese will provide experience and high level loot
I found a real easy solution to the PvP problem... Don't go into a PvP area. I have ~2500 in the game now and with really the only notable exception of the SHIELD's, I haven't been in the DZ for a couple of years. Yeah, for me, if all this game was turned out to be the dark zone, I wouldn't have played more than maybe 5 hours tops.
I will also say that outside of Global Events, just doing easy-to-do LZ boss runs are the absolute best way to gear up. Due to the fact that only the boss is tough, ANYONE at the level of the boss can do them, no matter how new they are or how poor their gear is.
When I bought a 2nd copy back in February, I hit the GE but then there wasn't any for 3 months. During that time, I had geared my main 2nd account character with 12 of the 14 full classified sets. I now have all 4 characters in in the end game and they all have several full classy gearsets to choose from. This was mostly from doing the LZ boss runs. I find minute for minute (at least once you memorize the spawn location), that it is much more productive than even Legendaries or incursions even with a good team.
The reality is that the PVP part of the game is virtually unplayable unless you are in a large group of players who spend a lot of time playing. Stay out of the Dark Zone it is a waste of your time. The game is only really enjoyable in PVE mode now days. I am finished the game and still get instakilled in the dark zone while I empty clip after clip into rogue agents with absolutely no effect on them.
This thread title is a little misleading ....I thought you were gonna talk about how you started playing TD2 and hated it so you came back to TD1 and are back to having a blast .... yeah I've only been playing a few months and I'm DZ Level 42 and yeah that is not the place to run around in if you are just getting back into the game ....there are some very good Players in there who are very difficult to deal with
