    PSA - Boomer boss fight

Alright guys, I have been doing the raid on and off, and a few days ago I finally got to the last boss. The thing is I usually go in with LFG since not everyone in my clan has the same weekday hours. Not the worst thing, and pretty easy on Xbox. I usually like to start at the beginning, mostly to help the guys having trouble, but also because I like fighting boomer the most. I know the battle is not very popular, but for some reason it seems like the symbol of this raid.

Anyway, I have fought him with a couple dozen random groups. In all that time I have not found anyone else who knows about double dropping him. I have not seen any one on youtube talking about it. I do not think I am the only one who has figured it out, but it sure feels that way.

Is this because everyone is just copying streamers and not bothering to figure out the raids on their own? Am I missing something and the tactic is actually very bad? From what I have seen, being able to drop 4 bars off him in under 30 seconds does not have a downside. I bet if Widdz or Marco post about it tomorrow, everyone would be doing it just because.... I like trying new ideas out, is that not a common theme among other division agents?

If you do not know what I mean here is a video of me doing it repeatedly, I am rocking the same build I had at the raid launch with 98% DTE on the armor alone and it helps a lot for this.

On PC as soon as he pops up he tosses a jamming nade that disables the turret there isnt time to double down him. Must be a consul thing the put in cause you guys were talking about the controller issue. Like not even when he reaches standing position on the way up he is already tossing it. I did not know that your elite dmg changed how much the turret put out ill have to check that out. Thanks for the heads up though man first i have seen this strat.

We did this once and had a discussion about it. For some reason we couldn't consistently repeat it (the minigun got jammed by the grenade to quickly). So we sort of gave up on it and decided to put our efforts elsewhere.

I’ve double downed him a few times but it isn’t very consistent.

I’ve even had the turret remain active and his jammer not be tossed onto the turret. What caused this? I haven’t a clue, maybe someone tapped his chest plate as he got up? Could be something to test out.

But i doubt its a “console” specific handicap.

If you can constantly double down him, kudos and keep up the good work

As far as I can tell it is tied to his animations, like when he does his finger pointing thing after stopping his healing. So if you down him and stop his chest in close proximity it can give you a little extra time to drop him again, but other variables seem to be in play too. Although I have been so close to dropping him without it that when he got to the next turret he was down almost instantly. If I max out my DTE on armor fully it might be possible to keep him stun locked

The first time I did the raid I went in with my skill build, The turrets were hitting the nodes for around 16k...... When I switched to my DTE build it was at around 33k. It makes a huge difference who you have on the turret. Without DTE you can overheat very easily on nodes or boomer just trying to do enough damage.
