    Hyper Duels are awesome. BUT....

i love the format of this new mode. however i hope they dont keep this mode in the game always. its very hard to compete in there as a class that struggles to land heavies for executions. as a 24 damage heavy valk player its very unlikely that ill ever get 1 or more executions in the whole fight. so as my opponents were just gaining HP from their executions i never did and it makes the mode too unfair. it would be better to remove the execution HP regeneration in this mode completely. the BP and raider seem to be very strong in this mode due to their huge amounts of HP. its a very cool mode but it needs some tweaks to be more balanced.

Now - why can't they use this tech in the normal dual modes? i think it would be so much better than wasting time switching maps every fight.

we could still get random maps but would just stay on the same one the whole fight. when a player dies they would just respawn, both having full hp again. i think more people would play duels and it would be faster to rematch people also. same rules, first player to lose 3 lives losses (best of 5 like it is now). executions would have no bearing on the balance because everyone starts full HP each death. just way faster duel mode! faster, funner.

maybe even just use it for one of the dual modes if not both? either rank or unranked? id prefer both but even one would be better than none.

i don't play duel but that hyper duel is so fun and u don't have to wait too long to start a new game, when i saw this thread i expected that you will bring back valk's dmg believe me i have seen many players landing easly executions

I agree, the fact you die and respawn directly is better , more faster ,more funnier because you don't have to wait, i like it and possibly want to do duel if their change with this mode ^^ the life full at each death is a good idea👌

I do agree about the executions with valk, they are hard to get, especially since with how low her heavy damage is a lot of the time even if you miraculously get one off, it doesnt kill them unless they have about half a bar left. Meanwhile raider has HA 40 damage heavy with pretty much the same animation for his heavy as his light, making it easier to trick people.

The best thing you can do as valk is to try and condition your opponent to think you only go for sweeps or light finishers, the result is that you'll eat a lot of damage from parries and GBs, and once they have half a bar left go for the heavy and pray that they dodge a bit earlier so they can get hit by it. Will it make up for the damage lost doing things you know will get parried? Probably not. Especially not against LB.

Apart from that I personally really like the hyper duels and want it to be a permanent addition to the game. The only problem I have with it is the ticket loss notification being huge and annoyingly in your when you are trying to we how your opponent is position in himself. Maybe change the timing of it to be when you die instead of respawn?

As a side note, how do assassin mains feel about this mode? They seem to be at quite a disadvantage for this mode given the hp differences as well as HA. Unless you are zerker of course. I tried a couple as a roach and it didnt go well. But then I havent even repped roach once and suck with him.

I've fought a handful of roch/pk that were able to make it a close game. So i'd imagine it's not that bad.

I would love the normal duels to be like this! respawn with full hp on both players on each death is great. it takes too long in between fights. most fighter games just use the same map on each respawn so i think its a faster better idea. I too play VALK and its very unfair as with a few other classes to get the executions off. Hyper duels are awesome but if they were more permanent then the executions would have to be looked at. Its super super hard as a Valk main but its still very fast paced and fun to play.
