How to fight raider on console?

Iv been playing the game consistently for a few months now and i am reputation 13 on console, i like to think im an ok player and can hold my own just fine against most people under rep 90. Raider is killing the game for me, i can barely react to his stunning tap and thats the only reason i cant fight him. Any tips on how to beat it?

You can just read and learn patterns (which won't help against good Raider), no other tips. For Honor on console not done properly because of input delay + 30FPS and some heroes can work how wasn't intended.

    Just like on PC 4head

    /s

The most successful way I've dealt with Raiders is mostly blocking top an dodging instead of blocking: if he attempts stunning tap: dodge, if he lets the zone attack fly: dodge.

Predicting the stunning tap and parrying is quite dangerous so I've mostly tried dodging, deflecting and blocking. Get hit with 1 heavy and your health is GONE.
It worked out most of the times, even managed to do it with PK who needs like 28 stab wounds to kill meanwhile Raider needs like what a few attacks? (not triggered btw)

    I'm on PS4 btw

If they go for stunning tap all the time and let heavy/chained zone fly often just learn to repeatedly dodge these. Stunning tap forces you to the end of a chain. So they either need to keep soft feinting into a tap to keep harassing. And that drains a lot of their stamina quickly. I personally haven't been able to reliably dodge their light after stunning tap but i'd gladly eat that light because they'll have little stamina now so I can press the advantage. You can also reaction punish if you have dodge counter moves too. I've been chewing up average raiders with orochi because of that.

If they like to turtle up and dodge into GB on indicator then you feint your heavy into a light (or specific fast heavies like centurion/musha.) this will hit them. Granted the Raider could just not commit to the GB input but at that point he's no longer dodge gbing on reaction so you've sort of deterred that nonsense. Finally, if you're feeling cheeky and want to try to parry his stunning tap always option select parry with your zone when you see orange mid combo. Chained zone has no HA and because you're option selecting it it's really hard for the raider to try to punish with a parry of his own. (it is entirely doable if you learn to read your opponent. But it's not something you can do on reaction. Thus is helpful against average raiders.)

And that's pretty much it. if you're not fighting a raider that primarily behaves like either of those things then chances are they're actually a decent player and so you'll need to actually learn how they play to properly combat them. But these tips should help deal with most of the brain dead raider band wagon players.
