I'll be very glad if they bring back the unique physics effects and detailed visuals from past games and build/enhance upon them. I can't stand seeing the lush detail of a world yet not behave like a real lush world. This was where Far Cry 2, 3, and even 4 shined. Far Cry 5 on the other hand was a blank static canvas. Nothing moved and nothing changed. You didn't see any effects from your actions and the interactivity is completely absent. Vehicles got some improvement with the addition of usable aircraft, but it felt very limited and copy-paste. Very few vehicles actually felt like they had different stats such as armor, speed, handling, etc. It was basically which model did you feel like driving in. At least include dirt bikes or some past vehicles like the hovercraft from Far Cry 4.

Destructible environments need to make a return. This was my favorite thing in Far Cry 2. You could shoot tree branches, bushes, furniture, tableware and it would all break into pieces with their own physics. Houses and small shacks could be blown up and barriers would crack and crumble if you drove into it with a vehicle. Fire propagation was unpredictable and was both a tool and a danger in Far Cry 2 to Far Cry 4. Far Cry 5 on the other hand made it look very bland visually (it lacks smoke completely) and it doesn't spread out as randomly as it used to.

Explosion effects are very poor in Far Cry 5 and should be improved for the next game. In past games grenades, C4s, IED, mortars, and RPGs had very powerful and impacting explosions with amazing visual detail. You actually felt the power of these weapons and it made you not ever underestimate how much damage they could do. In Far Cry 5, it hardly kicks up any dirt and has almost no impact. The visuals may look a little more realistic to some, but that becomes somewhat pointless since the explosion is so small and looks like a 2 second red/orange colored puff of cloud instead of a fiery burst of power like what we saw in Far Cry 2, 3 and 4.

    Vehicle wishlist:

    - Hovercraft from Far Cry 4
    - Blackhawk helicopter
    - Huey attack/transport helicopter
    - Trains (Can be ridden or controlled)
    - Mi-24 Soviet attack helicopter
    - Dirt Bikes
    - Tanks/APCs (T-34/T-54 or BTR-60 with makeshift armor and weapons)
    - Gun boat (Similar to the one used in Far Cry 3)
    - MiG 15 (As a secret vehicle that must be unlocked or found in the world as hidden secret)

Got another idea here, not for a main title but for a smaller Spin-Off and/or DLC.
This idea is by a person I know. I got it by mail today and - of course - the permission to share it.
It sounds cool. In my oppinion, this idea could be used as a (smaller) Spin-Off like Blood Dragon; which could be used in DLC-form of course, too.

    Here it is:
[The E-Mail was in German; I used an auto-translator and checked the text a bit concerning some unusual terms. It sounds more serious than it is ]

I have now been able to give my thoughts about your request:

In fact, I have an exciting idea for a Far Cry setting. Only for a DLC – but it would be a ripsnorter.

    To the story:

Late nineteenth century, a priest and exorcist loses a patient (young lady) to a demon. Furious because of this (personal) loss, he conjures up a gate to hell with the help of an ancient scroll and a cursed chapel in the courtyard. Of course we have full moon and a comet is present over the round moon – like an evil eye.

In style, this is based on Christian imaginations of hell at the time: demon figures (similar to gargoyles on Notra Dame – or similar are used as decorations, torture cellars and black castles, fire and lava flows outside under the dark and red glowing top. And lots of different demons, which are roughly oriented to "Diablo" but are equipped with contemporary and stylized weapons.
(Here you have to be careful that it doesn't get too close to games like "Doom". That's why I suggest a more "gothic" approach, as would be found in stereotypical vampier shooters. Van Halsing style, for example. No SciFi here.)

The exorcist shoots his way through the underworld with the aim of saving the young woman's soul. To do this, he has to turn off the four towers:
    The tower of molten metal,
    the tower of black wood,
the tower of frozen marble and
    the tower of burning granite.
(Nothing mystical. Metal, wood, granite and marble were only the four popular materialis for magnificient buildings like fountains, crypts and similar. You know, based on „Lost Garden“-Style.)

In the end, he actually manages to save her soul, but goes to hell himself or: He can stay there. Why? Because of his brutal actions. They were simply a sin.

This may also explain why some demons offer a weapon for exchange (shop function). They knew he was going to hell even faster if he is successful.

    Weapons:
Here I would say from crossbows to firearms from the 18th and 19th centuries. Additional some fantasy-creations and stylized details.
Also a flamethrower with different fire modes and an angle head (that spits the fire) would be great.

    Opponent:
There are two forms here, but all are demons. One is rather animalistic and uses claws or its own size. Others use weapons, like many opponents in Far Cry.

So far my DLC idea, you can send it to the Ubisoft forum if you are still logged in.

    P. S.
An achievement for using a flamethrower in hell? - „God of Irony“
An achievement for killing an important target - „The world gets worse every day“ (similar to a quote from Far Cry II)
An achievement for beating the DLC - „Come to stay!“

Also a few lines that leave an impression, fitting but dynamic audio tracks and this DLC idea could create a nice impact.

password1234xxx. that sounds a lot like Witch Hunt which is a very atmospheric and creepy title. Have a look at it if you haven't already.

I think a few aspects could fit to this idea. Hard to say, because on one side I don't know the game ("Witch Hunt") exept a few informations, screenshots and short video clips, which I have just researched. (And sadly I don't have the time to check it deeper; I am a realy busy person).
On the other side: An idea for a game or DLC can be used in different "styles" of course. In the end small details can change everything - details that couldn't be mentioned in roughly collected thoughts and ideas.

Witch Hunt (by Andrii Vintsevych/Steam) plays in the year 18th century and mostly in a forest (if I read the informations correctly). If the game/DLC-idea should be like in the posted idea(/E-Mail), it needs to be a bit faster. Means here: 19th century - just because fighting with muzzleloaders is slower. ... no need for full automatic assault rifles, but revolvers and rifles would be an important aspect to increase the tempo.
Also I think the idea should take place in a more "fictional" surrounding. The underworld of the 2nd "Atlantis" DLC for Assassin's Creed Odyssey might be a (harmless but similar) example. (I have a lot of credit for the creative performance of Ubisoft.)

But - of course - it is just an idea; details and aspects can be changed anytime in thoughts by anyone.

[Better to have a pool of ideas to swim in than a lack in ideas.
Why? Because: To much brainstorming increases the risk of tantrums ... but if the deadline has not been fed with results, your soul will be sacrificed to it. No pressure, no stress - but don't disappoint us. ]
