    Won't happen!
There will be only more and more guns for fire.
    Fireteam, Squad, Platoon....

But some people like to play alone and feel loneliness.
    They should have such opportunity!
Sometimes we play alone.....sometimes its impossible to be alone. We need help. There must be variety.
In reality it's impossible to fight alone against all those enemies. But this is a game. Acceptable exaggeration. People want to feel themselves like Rambo, Ninja, Super Hero...
When The Enemy is very strong or numerous ....and the game becomes masochistic for us...we have to ask for help.
Developers should compel gamers to seek for help. To use guns for hire.

Alone + guns for hire. Alone + Squad. Game will be full.
    Always alone....something will be missed.
Always with guns for hire...also something is missed.
Sometimes Alone + sometimes with Squad = game comlete.

If somebody wants to be always alone. If he's a super-masochist...he should have that opportunity.
Such people deserve achives or awards in the game.
    "Lonely wolf" must be rewarded.

I don't think it's certain that GFH are a new pillar of the series. It made sense for FC5, given the setting in rural america and the story being the building of a resistance, but it doesn't mean they can't try something different in the future, and I hope that they do...

If anything that involves animals, letting you ride horses just like the elephants in FC4 would be amazing. It was something I used so much in Far Cry 4 and it felt awesome each time.

It even had an attractive woman!

Ubisoft promoting one thing... but delivering another.

Attractive females? Great for promotion but NOT ALLOWED in their final products (as evidenced by the original pre-release portrayals of Faith being much more attractive/feminine than the final version).

Just another example of Ubisofts left-wing lunacy.

Good grief. I shouldn't even mention this, but it's just a video game. There's no 'left wing lunacy' involved. Ubisoft is a French company and their games are designed in Canada. The right wing conservatives in Canada are nowhere near 'right wing' in the US spectrum, and they are likely to be considered as democrats in the US. The discussion of politics shouldn't even be in this forum. Women in video games has nothing to do with politics at all, and this political talk shouldn't be a thing here.

A comment of mine from a YouTube video copied and pasted here to this thread...

"There are so many possible settings to choose. A Chinese or Russian setting as suggested in the video would be interesting choices. Australia as suggested earlier may still be one of my top preferences for a setting, but there is another setting I'd like to see...

Many people have been hoping to see a Cold War theme. Being Far Cry, it could be where the war went hot or something. How it goes hot would be up to whomever at Ubisoft writes the story. Or perhaps it could be set in Germany before the Berlin Wall fell? Could be a story about spying or defecting to the Western powers (maybe playing as a Russian or East German, possibly a guard)? It honestly may be hard to put a Far Cry spin on a story based on the Berlin Wall (and maybe controversial?), but doing a Cold War gone hot scenario may be easier to do. But then again, Ubisoft can do some good stories. I'm not exactly skilled at doing that stuff.

What would the location be for the Cold War setting? If it's a story where the war went hot, then it could be either in Russia (as suggested in the video), the USA (this time in another state), or maybe both if possible (2 different but smaller campaign maps). If the story is about the Berlin Wall, then it could take place in both West Berlin and East Berlin.

Hopefully if a setting like this arrives, we could get military vehicle assets (mainly for the purpose of the map editor). I think a large chunk of the community wants to see tanks and jets for our military themed maps. Maybe add those in exclusively for the editor even if they weren't included in the story mode. We had several editor exclusive assets in Far Cry 5, but very few were vehicles (the only ones that come to mind being the pixelated vehicles and some rocket launcher trucks).

If a Cold War (set in the 80's?) is chosen, then I'd love to see the radio feature return with a 70's - 80's soundtrack to better fit the theme. The musical culture around the time of the Cold War was very interesting. There are lots of songs to choose from that talk about the Cold War and/or the Berlin Wall and the high tension going on at the time.

Link to that video by the way (and a shoutout to a great Far Cry YouTuber) is here:

A cold war setting is something I would very much love to see in Far Cry! In that area, my top choice settings would be East Germany, one of the Soviet republics (maybe rural Armenia since it has a very diverse set of environments such as desert, dense green forests, flat grasslands, etc), or North Korea during or shortly after the Korean War (1950-1953).

Cuba could work as a Far Cry 3 tropical style cold war setting if it took place during the 1959 revolution or during Bay of Pigs.

China, especially during the Great Leap Forward, Cultural Revolution or Tienanmen Square, is another location I'd like to see since its got some pretty awesome sights such as temples (different from FC4's), Mao era monuments, diverse regions, and heavy military influence.

When will people understand that all FC main flagship titles are set in CURRENT TIMES.

All of the people who constantly rant about wanting FC to be set in a specific historical period are deluded about what the Far Cry franchise is all about.

Sure, you MIGHT get a spin-off title set in your personally favored historical period (if you're very lucky), but the main flagship titles are all set NOW. In the present. And always will be.
