Massive, you have 15 different brands and 12 different main missions + 3 strongholds
Its obvious where im going with this and you can fit it in the lore no problem, as like some kind of scouting report or intel or whatever you want to call it, after you've completed the mission
it doesnt have to be 1 for 1 but you see where im going with this
that has been suggested for a while now and it looks like its not what they want or they would have done that from the start, they intentionally left it out, they clearly dont want us "crafting" perfect gear so im offering other suggestionsOriginally Posted by Paulbolt316 Go to original post
Well, at least you're trying something....that's good.Originally Posted by Figs8511 Go to original post
It literally feels like everything that made Division 1 fun, entertaining, and rewarding was stripped down and forgotten. I've been gaming now for 33 years and I NEVER stayed & played any game for 3 years, like I did with Division. And if they continue to insist upon this boring watered down mess being Division 2, then I can definitively state I won't be around 3 years from now.....hell, if it doesn't start feeling & playing like a better version of Division 1 real soon, I'm gonna be out shortly.
Never played The Division 1. The Division 2, however, has my vote for couch co-op game of the year so far. Get control of your nostalgia before it controls you.Originally Posted by Paulbolt316 Go to original post
I've personally always found ideas similar to this intriguing. Though it quickly becomes a hot topic when discussing making any loot exclusive or partial to certain activities. As it stands currently, what do you do when searching for a specific piece/brand/roll/quality of gear?Originally Posted by Figs8511 Go to original post
I think it's not about exclusevity as much as weighted drops based on something, if i need X why not do Y activity that has slighty better chances towards that is the feeling i get, problem with exclusivty is also accessibility, story missions is something everyone can do no problem , raids and DZ get a bit trickierOriginally Posted by Ubi-RealDude Go to original post
I don't understand an objection to this aside from desiring longer periods of grinding. Why does it become a hot topic?Originally Posted by Ubi-RealDude Go to original post
There is nothing one can do to search for a specific piece of gear, IT'S ALL RNG!. So, other than craft it (and that is useless as has been discussed in many other threads), the question feels more like you're trolling the thread.Originally Posted by Ubi-RealDude Go to original post
If you want a simple answer: The same everyone else does. Run around looting boxes and killing mobs, then crossing fingers that RNGesus has blessed me that day.
Let's see. What do I do? Well, on Friday, I check the 8 vendors for new gear. I know there are 9 vendors but, since the two at the White House sell the exact same gear, I count them as one vendor (why the hell they do that is beyond my understanding). Nope the vendors are still selling useless 450-475 gear score equipment I don't waste my cash on. Really? I'm trying to get GS500 equipment at tier 5 and they sell this crap? Looking at the crafting table? Nope. I'm limited to 490GS gear THAT CAN'T BE CALIBRATED!!!! Again totally useless to me. So I'm limited to farming for gear and hope for RNGesus to bless me with something usable with the stats I need and only one thing that need to be changed via recalibration. Why are we limited to recalibrating just one statistic or talent on a gear piece, especially now with the new recalibration score? Again this doesn't make any sense, whatsoever, to me. So I go out and farm for gear and fill up my inventory....then have to sell what I have gathered because it's all crap or stuff I don't need. Not a surprise since there are 16 different sets of 3 pieces each plus the 3 current 6 piece classified sets. Add in the gear mods and weapons that also drop and it's nigh impossible to find the pieces I need for a particular build. Right now I'm trying to find a Petrov chest and holster and Alps gloves for my Demolitionist build. It's driving me to the point of just giving up on the game in frustration because of the extremely low chance for the gear I need to drop. If gear sets were chained to a particular group it would make the grind a little more tolerable. As it is now, the game is just not fun for me anymore because of the gear grind. I play video games for fun and, right now, Division 2 is sorely lacking in that department.Originally Posted by Ubi-RealDude Go to original post
