My build is not broken and the viewpoint was a pain on challenge today, they would not stop spawning , ran out of ammo a few times ..good fun and took a while.. What does annoy me is the drop in gear, all the kills i got and had about 10 items at end of mission .. and no 500gs .?..GWH i had about 4 items and a few ammo drops ?? one 500gs gear mod ?..i play all on challenge solo.. If you hadn't noticed, VIEWPOINT got a "stealth" nerf in layout/spawn area's.
Before you could camp certain sections and just mow the NPC's down in a line.
But today doing it, they were coming over walls, down ropes, through side halls and on the end section, where I've never had to leave the stairwell area...spawned right out of the elevator on top of me and almost took me down....
Don't know, was hectic, and really annoying as there was also way more yellows/purples than normal in the end section...
I did a test run on Viewpoint normal invaded using a Liberty pistol build. The difficulty did seem too high for normal with crazy drone spam and a large amount of mobs spawning at once. It took 24ish minutes and the final total showed 134 mobs killed. Here's the stats: https://photos.app.goo.gl/FyxorF9mPP9bMv8u9 I managed to kill my character at the beginning during the bombing run.
Update: running the same mission on challenging upped the mob count to 188, but difficulty didn't seem much different. The mission took 32 minutes using a skill build.
I agree with the OP did this tonight on normal as building up my specialist skills for sharpshooter. Way over the top on drones and AI. I thought I had selected challenging lol. Definitely something wrong or its been buffed. Funny how some posters (I'm being nice with the term) tw@@s really jump to the conclusion you have a rubbish build.
I can vouch for this. I noticed it the last time it was invaded running it on hard solo. Way more mobs than prior to whatever changed and a prevalence of veterans and elites. Prior to this change, I know I wasn't getting over 150 kills during that mission. Right now, its like a mini-stronghold...a densely packed, swarming mini-stronghold. I wonder how many spawns there are now in a full group.
I have noticed the difficulty with this. It's like the most hardest amongst all invaded missions. But doing it yesterday morning in a group of four players on challenge, two of us spamming 9 + 12 cluster seeker mines every 10 seconds, flame turrets, pulse scanner spamming every 10 seconds while both of us had spotter... we crowd controlled very, very easily. Much more easily than when I played that mission with just me and a friend on heroic. We were not stopped. We were not pinned down very easily. We almost could move around freely.
In the last area, I didn't expect it to be very easy... we were all over the place. When they rappelled down from helicopter, we just scorched them with flame turrets and incendiary grenades. Both bosses were really easy... plus up to 21 cluster seekers rolling around the area, every 10 seconds. Even multi-killing.

I did it solo just a couple of hours ago. The studio just before the end is the deal..... I swear there must have been a half-dozen medics and methinks that is the issue. At least three waves of ankle-biters but backed up with medics it felt like an endless stream. Get one of them down and two more show up in the next wave to pick up where the other had left off. Came this >< close to running out of ammo.
Final boss fight on the roof was easy by comparison.
End of mission stats showed 172 kills if memory serves; much more than other missions. Made for some exciting times, that's for sure.
I played it earlier today, normal as well, I had 2 tanks, 2 warhounds, a couple purple medics, 2 red mini-tanks, and the rest of the crew was scrubs. Certainly sounds like you got worked over with the difficulty being ramped up to 11.Originally Posted by MsSpydaSam Go to original post

Including myself of which I did a thread about it,
I did invaded capitol hill on NORMAL it took me 3 deaths and 45 mins to an hour jut to do the last boss fight because of this said problem . where with the same build I can do challenge missions and strongholds in less than 30 mins, but it took 45 mins to do one boss fight on Normal) in that instance.
There has been a problem and some scaling/NPC wise is still out of whack.
