Toggle lock guard switch target automatically

    Hi,

I use the toggle guard mode option.

When I am playing multi target games, like Dominion, the target get automatically switched without I am doing anything. This is very common and it makes the playing very difficult.

I think the switch occur if an other enemy is closer, so it is enough an enemy is running pass me close to make the target switch.

    It feels like bug.

I have not find any option for target switching in the menu, but perhaps I am missing some tuning?

    Hey killerjoe6699,

    Welcome to the forums!

I also use the toggle lock-on / guard option but I have not encountered this. Do you have any video showing the switching of targets?

Target switching is titled as "camera reset" in your controller settings. The reason why it is "automatically" switching is most likely to you pressing your R3 analog stick too much. Usually camera reset is there on default. Happened already to many people years ago. Unfortunately Ubisoft never worked on this issue as there is something wrong with the sensitivity for this input and it even activates without the trigger being fully clicked which is different from other games such as Dark Souls for example.

However, you can assign it to another button and maybe don't have these issues any more.

    Thank you Klingentaenz3r!!

You were right. I moved the reset camera function and now it works just fine!

But this should be fixed in my opinion.

The only drawback now is that I have nothing to blame on when I die ;-)

Glad it helped yeah I would like to have it on R3 actually, but it just messed up too much for me in the past so that I could never really reliably improve in anti-ganking until I put it somewhere else. And unfortunately that always comes with a sort of trade off as something other has to be assigned for R3.

Since you press that button unwillingly from time to time, I recommend you a function there that will not interfer with your fights. So good examples are running , since it won't do anything in locked combat (if you don't have the option activated that running ends locked combat that is) and quickchat (with BP you might screw your bulwark counters over however due to R1 and R2 being tab options in quickchat.

-> ubisoft should make quickchat more customizable btw

    Hey Klingentaenz3r,

Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

In regard to the quick-chat customisation, I will pass that long to the team
