Vendors = Useless (Cassie Medoza Too) & Loot Reward < Risk

I can certainly get the criticism that vendors are useless in the end game. After finding snitch and completing a heroic bounty (solo BTW) so I can even unlock Cassie Mendoza, with an equipped gear score of 500 there was not one item that was over 490.... and nothing in the list would have done anything for my build. Oh, and as for the loot dropped by the 3 named elites that made up the heroic bounty..... everything they dropped was examined and discarded.

I can certainly get the criticism that the loot drops are not in line with the risk taken to get them.

Since it is becoming very apparent that I am not going to find anything to improve my build, just like many I am struggling to find motivation to play. It just might be it for me after I complete the raid.

Now I am not going to curse the developers or the product managers or come off all butt hurt about it and demanding my money back. It has been a game worth over 300 hours of my time, and that is saying something. But I share in the frustration that the game could have still had a lot of life left in it.

I am going to agree with you to some degree on this. Often items I find from them are from 450 to 480. I once saw Cassie selling a 490 rifle, but that was a one time thing. The rolls aren't often extremely spectacular except on maybe base armor which means almost nothing when the item is a 468 Gear Score item.

Blueprints are the main point of interest to them. Often they are much more useful when leveling up between lvl 1-30 or trying to get your GS up when first entering a new world tier.

    Totally agree

i'm not sure why we have a secret Vendor (Cassie) now if we had to do a Bounty to unlock her, thus giving us viable/valuable weapons to buy then it'll be worth it, I like the named but they are no better than other guns, and their GS is way below my GS so whats the point in her.????

As fr all the other vendors again they are pointless, why can't they have atleast 1 weapon and 1 gear piece per week at the 500 GS to buy as of now they are not worth buying from in any way.

PS: you don't have to do any bounties to unlock her, just go upto the Snitch activate, you can leave the bounty on the floor because Cassie unlocks by just finding and accepting a bounty from the Snitch, you don't have to do the bounty.

It seems to me that the clan vendor has some good gear for recalibration. At least that's what my clan seems to use it for.

Unfortunately I don't do Clans anymore, too much hassle/drama and arguing and airing dirty laundry in public, not my thing at my age, been there done that back in the day, used to play Scrims and Milsims when I was younger,

Ah, thanks for that tip. Well, then it is really messed up. The perfect way to provide great gear but locked behind appropriately difficult content. As I read the threads on this in the past, I had assumed the vendors being talked about were the common ones at the BOO and settlements. I had not been able to get past a heroic bounty to see for myself, but assumed the point of locking Cassie behind hard content was to provide great gear. Or perhaps the items offered by her should be greatly improved for doing the bounty.

I don't expect to be able to just grind crap and sell it to turn around and buy better. Not in the end game. But there should be great items from Cassie and there certainly wasn't for me.

FYI you don't need to complete the bounty to access Cassie and her merchandise. You just need to talk to the Snitch and he'll tell you where she is.

I agree. At least in D1 you could hop from vendor to vendor in the safe houses and they would generally have one item per week near my level. There’s nothing at a vendor that can do me any good unless they have a talent that I need for recal or a project.

It’s a head scratcher for me. As someone said before, sometimes the clan vendor has something that might be remotely useable, at least he has more to offer.

I do not curse the developers too - but they did develop it, so it's their responsibility.
