the few times i did go for the 250 ones it gave me duplicates too, that's actually why i decided to pick the 100 caches only.

not saying its not a different pool but if it is the pools overlap a whole lot.

Sure you get some XP but the XP you get is very small (A 250 cache that you get a duplicate will only award basically like 2 -5 fragments back if you convert the total XP to fragmetns. I've just been saving up my fragments (have something like 3000 now) as its just not really worth it with the way duplicates are.
I would think that with that many fragments you should be able to get most of the apparel pieces. Maybe do 5 of each chest and see what you get? I can tell you from my experience I don't get a "lot" of duplicates, but I get maybe one out of 5 that are a duplicate at this time.

Why do people instantly jump to conspiracy... I didn't see many dupes until I had like 80-90% completion. It's random.. You could only have one cosmetic unlocked and there's a chance (very smol) that you could get 10 of that in a row.

I don't think so, I'm getting plenty of purples and yellows from the 100 cost ones. Plenty of dupes too.

I very rarely wait long enough to get a 250 and the times I have I got dupes just as much as with 100s.

Because the company is financially motivated to make it geared towards dupes so that you break down and just spend some real money to get the missing pieces from an outfit you want.

Just opened two 100 cost crates....not in a row mind you but I opened one about an hour and a half ago and just opened another. Back to back city runner shirts. Is it possible that can happen? Sure. Should it happen? No. Does it seem highly improbable that in a loot pool of.....well we don't know the loot pool which is one of the problems going back to the...don't think we're allowed to call them that anymore but if you've followed the caches and how Massive/Ubi games them long enough back to D1 you know what Kiloton called them. Anywho I digress....it is very fishy you can get the same item back to back in a loot pool so large with a supposedly random RNG.

I agree with OP there is absolutely no reason to get duplicates when you haven't collected all gear. Given that since before level 30 the clothes stopped dropping from loot...
So it is just either a money spinner or a delay tactic.
Either way it's unfair and bad show.

I've gotten duplicates from the 250 caches too. A bit frustrating. The event gear you can earn is fun, but earning gear is really sad. I get duplicates about 50% of the time with the 100 caches. I've only purchased about three 250 caches and two have been duplicates as well. At least give me another color of the same item. Would that be too much to ask?

I opened 4 apparel caches last night -- ALL were duplicates >_<

Yet, I barely have any of the non-event sets done.

I agree with the OP -- the present situation is ridiculous. Get rid of duplicates, or reduce their frequency so that we can actually finish some sets before we move onto newer titles like Borderlands 3.

You get a chump-change xp total of 41k. So, in essence, you have to get 10 duplicates before they'll even let you have a field proficiency cache as a consolation prize. At least in the first one you got more key fragments to open more of them.....tight-wad penny pinching to say the least.
