So I farmed enough cache key fragments to create 10 superior cache keys (not the ones from the event, the regular apparel caches). From those 10 keys I got only THREE new items, all the others were duplicates.
Considering I don't even have 15% of the total yellow/purple items you can get from superior caches, the conclusion is the system is rigged so you're forced to BUY the remaining items out of sheer frustration.
I was aiming for the Honor Guard Dress set (5 pieces). I had only the Dress Cap from a previous cache, and got not one, but TWO duplicate Dress Caps. And none of the other pieces.
Frustrated as frustrated can be! But still strong in my conviction of not buying stuff that can be acquired ingame.
XP that earns you Field Proficiency Caches faster.Originally Posted by Solkard Go to original post
Now imagine you spent $25 for those 10 caches and got nothing but exp for it. Im not sure exp is the right item to be rewarded for a duplicate. I think i got 41k exp from a duplicate gold hat. Which is roughly 10% of a prof. Cache. Which at a high end u get 40 or so fragments. So basically if u spend 250 frags on a key u get back 1.6% or what u spent on a duplicate. Not a very good reward for that work.
I would say giving back 10% of the frags for the cache would be a better reward imo.
There are, it's a smaller chance, but it also seems to pull from a different pool of items.Originally Posted by MarmottaBR Go to original post
But if you saved up for the more expensive chests, you'd probably have less duplicates. Like I said, I'm pretty sure they're pulling from slightly different loot tables.Originally Posted by teksuo1 Go to original post
