So it's maybe not as many as you think it is since it's these same people that post over and over and over again just to make it look like there's a lot of negativity about this game. It's also really cool to hate the Division 2 at the moment so there are a fair number of people that just hop on that hate train so they can be part of the cool thing.
Well....if you leave out all the people on other social media platforms, the press, YouTube video's etc.....sure....then you could say there are only a couple of hundred people posting negative issues about this game....and can pretend that this isn't at all inidicative of a much wider sentiment.
While this game does have problems, they're not insurmountable problems,
Some issues should be easily fixable. Or shouldn't have occurred in the first place.
The main fundamental issue however is Massive's vision. That is pretty insurmountable on the short run.
and the game always seems to be busy and packed with players when I'm running missions or doing other activities.
The opposite here. The game has a noticeable reduction of activity....with far less people populating safe houses than 4 weeks ago.
Regardless the illusion that there are many players in the game may be a direct result from merging servers.
This is a very long established tradition. If the population of a game declines the number of available servers is reduced.
They openly spoke about reducing the brackets for DZ to two. Down from dozens. And the end result is that DZ's are still not fully populated.
I even get a fairly constant stream of requests for help. So I don't think we have to worry too much about the players all ditching out on the game
There are many other metrics disagreeing with you.
The number of clans reporting large percentages of members being inactive. The amount of people in safe houses. The time it takes to match make (you previously mentioned it takes mere minutes....minutes). The amount of streamers (you previously mentioned: woooaah....a whole 7 streams for the brand new raid? As a counter that not lot of people are playing it? Lol). View counts dropping dramatically. The huge uptick in negative forum posts here and on reddit. Friend lists no longer filled with people playing the game. Increasingly negative press. Etc.
and I think that Massive will start getting the bigger issues fixed soon. Because no game dev wants there to be bugs or problems with their game.
I don't think you have paid attention.
The biggest issues are...by a landslide:
1). Raid mm - no intention
2). Raid accessibility - not soon
3). Raid difficulty - no intention
4). Raid mechanics on console - no intention
5). Build diversity and viability - not soon
6). Loot economy - complete silence for months
7). No meaningful content - probably a month out
And 5 & 6 two are fundamental design issues that require a significant rework...that also tie back to how the raid is designed.
RoF and AI behavior are relatively minor issues that exacerbate the deep fundamental flaws of the game and the inadequacy of Massive's "vision".
