The last few days i was trying to "work" on new gear builds. After trying a variety of combinations i came to the conclusion that no matter what you do, there is no build that works without a lot of DtE. That however limits the amount of possible builds you can use. Three out of six gear pieces can only have one talent, active or passive, and damage to elites practically has to be it. That limits the room for other more imaginative creations. To make it clear, for any content up to challenging level, all builds work in my experience. But if you try heroic content or the raid, then there no choice other than DtE.
So my opinion about the matter is that damage to elites should completely be removed. For balance reasons, elites health pool should be adjusted and also "All weapon damage" and other offensive attributes should improve in order to compensate. That way people will start creating more imaginative builds based on other talents like spotter, on the ropes, bloodlust, wicked etc. Skill and defence builds will become more relevant to the game and people will have more options rather than simply grinding for a very specific "God roll".
One could go even further and suggest that all passive talents should be removed and replaced by existing and new active talents. Massive could adjust gear attributes, in order to compensate this, and offer more active talents with new synergies for people to find. This however will probably be considered by many as "too excessive" ,so for the time being i would like to focus the attention of this thread to DtE talent.
I would love to hear opinions on this.
That's the best part, my builds are all damage to elites mad.....Originally Posted by RedIndianRobin Go to original post
Well, you should read the rest.Originally Posted by RedIndianRobin Go to original post
Look, everyone can have 90%+ DtE. Probably anyone already has that. The thing is that it leaves no other viable build in the game. I am not saying simply remove it and go try the raid. The game would need to be rebalanced in order to make this work. But i believe it would allow people to use more gear combinations and more imagination, rather than simply stacking one stat.
Similar to mine. But now what? Why making another build when nothing works particularly better? My point is better variety and more possible combinations with active skills that require more effort and more skill.Originally Posted by JayKay040792 Go to original post
