Does it make sense to buy THE DIVISION in 2019?

    Need help.
Somebody please tell me does it make sense to buy The Division in 2019? Snowy setting looks very tasty for me but I can't find any information about online (players count) in game. Just afraid of wasting money in vain
Thanks in advance for the answers

PS Sorry for bad (I think) translate. I'm from Ukraine and write here because russian community looks dead.

Largely it depends on what you would like to do in the game. If you are interested in PvE, then the game, especially at its current reduced price will offer a lot of entertainment. There is generally enough players online at any given time to not to have to wait very long to get into a matchmake group if you want to play with others. However, if you are after PvP, especially 'Last Stand' then the wait time is really long if you can get a match at all.

If it's really, really cheap and (like Bambihunter said) if your primary interest is PvE gameplay, sure, I would. It's still a fun game, and if your purchase include the DLC (Underground, etc.) you'll have enough mission variety to keep you busy for a long time.

The DZ is so overrun with cheaters nowadays that I don't consider it an even remotely viable PvP game any longer. If that was your intention, or if the price is more than, say US$8.00, then I'd recommend a pass.

I agree with the above, for pve then yes, for pvp no. Dz is riddled with cheaters, went in on the xbox this morning, wont be doing that again. Pve only then id say its still worth it with season pass.

If you are patient, you can get the Gold version with all the DLC's and season pass for $10-$15 USD. I am not sure what the conversion rate on that is to your currency. When it was that price, I bought a 2nd copy and actually played through it again with 4 more characters.

The PVE game is still very worth playing (Yes it is worth the money at the current price), unfortunately once you get to the dark zone, the abundance of rogue agents sucks any fun you may have had out of the game as unless you are a regular player who is willing to invest days and weeks into the game, you very seldom have the necessary power to survive any encounter for more than a second or so, you can empty magazine after magazine into a rogue with no effect but be killed in a second or two

There are a lot of things to think about.

    1) How long will Ubisoft keep the servers running?
    2) Certain consoles have a terrible menu lag.
    3) You will need PS+ or Xbox live to enter the DZ for PVP on console.
    4) PVP is lawless and you will get shot in the back, there is also cheaters in PVP (not everyone, though)
    5) PVE part of the game is fun with build diversity.
    6) I feel the setting for TD1 is better than TD2.
    7) When I last played TD1 earlier this year I did experience some server lag.

There are Global Events scheduled out to April of 2020 so in my humble opinion, it will for sure be going that long and personally, I would think the game would run a minimum of 5 years from release which was March 2016.

It's good game to buy. I just hope that they will make more / new content for veteran players. I have list my intrest to Div2 already and would like to come back to play Div 1, but I think it need something new to play, missions, inqursion, etc. to keep me playing.
