What is it about this game that attracts old people?

I hope this question doesn't come across as rude or blunt as that is not my intention.
I've noticed a lot of elderly people coming to the forums to sing the praises of Odyssey, particularly those who have never played an AC game before, that I do not see in other game forums.
I'm curious to know what it is about Odyssey that appeals to older people specifically especially in comparison to other games?

By "old" I mean 60 or above.

Being playing games seriously since first Quake from Id software.

Like RPG's especially. In that regard I liked Bioware as developper the most. They are not capable to cobble any game together anymore and was seeking something new to play again.
Tried AC Origins and it went on from there. Win for Ubisoft because since then I have played FC5 + ND, Ghost Recon Wildlands and a few others of their titels.

I am simply a gamer that grew older and played around with computers when they first appeared on the market. My first computer was an Amstrad.

As long as my fingers will allow it I wil game to my dying day. I consider it a great hobby.

An interesting question, to be sure. I imagine it's a complex answer that's highly individualized to each player.

If I may slightly re-frame the question from the OP, though:
I'm curious to know what it is about Odyssey that appeals to each of you specifically especially in comparison to other games?

Perhaps it is because those "old" people don't spend time in the game forums.

I know that this is the first Ubisoft game that I have played (played half a dozen of them) where I posted anything on the forums. Until I finished the story line, I did not even visit the forums.

Whew, dodged a bullet on this one, barely, since I'm not quite to 60 yet...

Oh how I remember when most gaming that wasn't PnP gaming was done in arcades, and required extreme skill, or stacks of quarters, or both... when my first hard drive was a cassette tape... Pong was the first MMO, at least, it was on a line... It goes on from there, I played the first MK game as shareware, Castle Wolfenstein on a 5 in floppy disc, and when you had enough hard drive space to do a full install of BG 2, you were a God amongst PC gamers. My current PC has more RAM than I had HDD space on my first 486, by about 8 times. But that's not what brings me here. What brings me here is that I'm a gamer, who's played most of the AC games, all of the BG games, all of the IWD games, NWN 1 and 2, and about 700 GB of MMOs as of right now, currently installed on this rig. BG instilled my love for CRPGs, so playing Origins, or Odyssey would have been a natural progression for me, given that both are CRPGs. Gaming isn't a hobby that one "outgrows", if one enjoys gaming, they'll play until they no longer can.

Maybe its because of the Quest "Age is just a number."

Just joking. This never attract attention to me. I have seen in a lot of other gaming Communities with elder people who like the game and play it a lot. No matter if it is a Skyrim, Far Cry or an Assassins Creed. I think every Game have people with an higher age who play and enjoy it and I think this is great. It give a lot of elder people who dont like modern stuff like Computers or Videogames. Great to see other elder people who focus on such things and enjoy it

I don't think it's an AC Odyssey specific situation. There are a lot of elder people playing a lot of different types of video games. Gaming has nothing to do with age or gender. It's totally irrelevant.
Do you know about the grandma who plays Skyrim on youtube? She just loves the game. There are many others like her. May be it's kind of interesting among people from her generation because they didn't have such technology back when they were young so they don't have this natural habit of gaming that comes from childhood like us. But imagine when our generation, we get old, I bet we will still be gaming and it won't seem interesting, or rare, or weird to our grandkids.
Me on the other hand, I'm 33, female. According to my parents I'm already too old to play games and I don't think so. I like playing games. I'm a 90's kid, I'm coming from playing Atari, Prince of Persai, Golden Axe, Prehistoric and such games. Once you develope that habit of gaming, and enjoying it, no matter how old you get, you won't stop. Because there's always something new, something better, something more interesting is being introduced in to the gaming world. It's endless.
When you're a kid gaming is fun. When you are an adult, gaming is fun and a good escape from boring serious adult stuff.

Helleniticsm, seeking my roots my first forefathers, these need to return to roots in my country [as historical tourism is flowing and interest is growing in restoring old forgotten history], , politics [looking at economics, geopolitics ] more and more I look more is thew new people who where in shadows before are coming forward, from geopolitics[ neoconservatism] [liberalsim/neoliberalsm] propganda and relentless lobby I object [ and there is a truth in game]
history from Hellenic era to formation orthodox era im a supper fan, ethnos, history fanatic.

Im not 60 + . In fact far more younger on 30s. Elements in game fascinate me.
