thats up to the devs, i am merely saying what another ubisoft studio uses as base for exploit cases, i am not saying that is what massive does or will doOriginally Posted by RichardOshea Go to original post
i cant recall if they did anything in division 1 about those who abused the ladder glitch to cheese that APC fight early on in the game's life.
i know they ban hackers but im not sure about exploiters.
(i know i used the ladder glitch a couple of times in division 1 and never got any repercussion from it) - but maybe only those who abused it a whole lot got punished, idk - can't remember.
*my guess is that if they punish anyone, it'll be those who go out of their way to abuse it in pvp while being toxic to others.
Ok. There were exploits that could occur by mistake in this game. The first month in I found myself in a group that was exploiting the bounty glitch, which I had no knowledge of at the time, but after the third time we hit the same bounty I piped up in chat and asked what was going on. At that point they mentioned the glitch and I immediately left the group -- I'm still salty about it as I really dislike cheating and bug exploits, and as I had intially responded to a call for backup it felt really abusive by that group of players.Originally Posted by xcel30 Go to original post
Ubisoft didn't do anything about exploiters. Third party devices with rapid-fire scripts ran rampant on PS4 and Xbox. Every update had a major exploit.Originally Posted by teksuo1 Go to original post
You had players breaching walls with mobile cover, use exploits to be invincible or invisible, RPM Exploit with loadouts, boosting in last stand using support station, etc
We reported players through proper channels and no one got banned for it. I always see the same players using the same exploits updater after update. It was comical. I remember they were saying they rolling out ban waves for the RPM exploit yet I see the same players abusing it in the DZ for weeks until they "fixed it". There one image floating around social media.
Thanks for linking the clip, looks a little suspect to meOriginally Posted by Demiz3r Go to original post
It's a learning curve for Ubi and we are the subjects!... I'm surprised that the poster did not block the names of the other players cause Ubi will be all over them like flies on Hmmm
