Players can't be banned using something that the developers didn't think of or miscalculated. The biggest problem is that it's being used in PVP which yeah, some kind of punishment should be done, but I highly doubt that they'll ban someone permanently because of their own mistake.
If used in tournaments with prize money even then the players wouldn't be banned, most likely disqualified but not banned from the game.
Let's hope it will get fixed as soon as possible.
Actually you can be banned for using exploit, glitch, or bug. It really depends on the the game developer and if they wish to start down that road. Just because they made a mistake, doesn't mean you have to abuse it.Originally Posted by Harshilizer Go to original post
I get it, some will argue that it isn't cheating cause they have no self control and don't want to admit their wrong and have to feel bad for it. Cheating is cheating and those very things fall under ToS. Like said, it depends on whether or not Ubi/Massive wishes to persue it.
f i recall, and somebody correct me if im wrong, but Massive said using known exploits is a bannable offense. Isn't that why they touted their anti-cheat software built into the game?I just hope something is done sooner than later.Originally Posted by Harshilizer Go to original post

I'm OK with demanding that the devs take responsibility but so must the player. This is an obvious bug and as such a player's personal responsibility should come into play also. To take that bug and exploit it to gain an advantage against another player or to circumvent aspects of the game is tantamount to cheating. The knowledge of it is what makes it so.Originally Posted by Harshilizer Go to original post
I'd ban them for a temporary period as a warning, with any subsequent infraction leading to a permanent ban.
If we go with rainbow six siege rules for this kind of issues, bug, glitches and exploits are not bannable as they come from the devs side of things and people could end up replicating via mistakes, while undoublty some people will abuse it, some false postives would also occur so innocent people would also be banned creating bigger issues. I am not fully aware on the stance of massive on this issue and if it's something shared by more ubisoft studios
You can't do it by mistake. You have to roll a new char and actively pursue the exploitable method. Anyone with that much armour has knowingly gone about obtaining it.Originally Posted by xcel30 Go to original post

Invincibility Exploit back at it again.
They won't do anything. Remember the exploits from the previous game and how lenient they were to players that were using exploits.
Hopefully, it spreads like wildfire and everyone abuses it so the team is forced to fix it. Otherwise, nothing will be done.
