Actually it makes sense generally. Shaman dodge atta helps and bash helps. Shugoki can get hug trades off real easy on hitokiris that are parry happy, and can initiat HA even faster with their light from neutral.
Not sure why shaolin is a counter. His kick isnt accesed simple enough to be a hard counter.
Kensei has bops to stop her from using HA and his side attacks work better than youd think if you react with hito's forward momentum+terrible recovery. Much safer than orochis dodge attack given the block. Also his range advantage with spacing can allow him to force whiffs on her part and more wasily back dodge her kick mixup.
Nuxias lights dont hinder hito's HA as much as others and her traps will not work against an offensive hito. Hito tries to trade and instead succeeds without taking damage if nuxia ever goes for a trap. Parry time the heavy and if it turns into a trap just hold down the the heavy and win.
Tiandis easy acces bashes give him a massive advantage. Plus his undodgeables and forward momentum HA. Also extended dodge. I dont know if it has the timing but i wouldnt be surprised if timed right it could avoid at least 2 charge levels.
Glad has dodge bash and can option select zone parry. Valks back dash avoids her mix ups entirely and if hitokiri commits to either bash or ub heavy Valk can punish.Originally Posted by Leplekret Go to original post
Kenseis dodge attack into side heavy out trades hitokiri. Shamans bash from neutral can be flickered. Goki can trade arguably better and sustain a health advantage with hug. Shaolin doesn't really counter her. Tiandi counters her because heavy/light into flow like water will crushing counter her follow up trade and if she tries to charge a buffered palm strike after crushing counter beats any level of charge she tries to attempt.
Nuxia pk orochi and aramusha all lack anything that can best her trading capability. Since hitokiri uncharged heavies are fast like Centurions mis timed parry attempts will make her trap whiff.
About Glad, I don't think it is enough to counter Hito, she can trade with lights after bash+heavy feint, she can charge heavy and punish Glad's zone parry attempt, she can win him at least with chip damage. Valk, Kensei, Tiandi and Shaman the same, she can just beat with HA heavies and counter attempts to attack dealing safe chip damage, also she can turtle and parry. Goki have 800ms heavies and 140hp, Hito have 700ms heavies and 145hp, also she have some kind of iniciation to finish. Of course all of them can win her, but I don't think it is called "counter".Originally Posted by Knight_Raime Go to original post
If Glad zones on indicator it will beat out whatever charge attempt she makes either by bashing or parrying her. Dodge into bash is a response to a raw heavy thrown from neutral into a charged heavy. I'm not going to bother addressing the rest of this. My response was not "heros that counter hitokiri" but things those heros can do to punish hitokiri from either trying to parry on indicator or try to trade mid combo.Originally Posted by Leplekret Go to original post
I'm not knowledgable enough with many heros to confidently state who is a direct counter to her. But that's not really the point of my post or vakris. The idea was there are several heros in the game that can attempt to do something to punish brain dead Hitokiri play. There are very few heros in the game who have nothing in their kit that reliably beats out her trading or punishes it consistently.
Okay. Gonna go ahead and close this as a probable troll thread, since it is your first post ever and it ends on this note.Originally Posted by wrobison93 Go to original post
Please keep in mind that suggesting changes to Hitokiri is perfectly acceptable (and has been done in a bunch of other threads), but creating deliberately provocative threads may be treated as trolling.
