Let’s face it ! TD1 was a barrel of junk, but it was our junk and we loved it !! This game is rushed, broken, dull and a cash cow!
SToG today was another PR requirement! The Hamish I knew from TD 1 give a damn! Promotion and we get the new hamish!
Hamish you had me at TD1!!!
I honestly don't mind that the raid is challenging, I just want to see an effort made to compensate console for the performance shortcomings, such as slowing down enemy movement slightly when sprinting, increasing weapon handling ever so slightly, etc. The goal is to avoid reducing enemy health or increasing weapon damage as these are not performance related.Originally Posted by R1_Stealth Go to original post
Also, I see very little value in creating content that such a minority can complete. As noted, it would have been far better to release the raid as the hard version. Then to later add in a challenging mode as well as a normal difficulty that includes MM. This would allow the masses to attempt the raid and enjoy content that the devs worked so hard on. Drop rates, experience, etc. would be lowered substantially as well. Having a normal version with MM would also help players connect with larger groups and allow them to attempt the harder versions in a more organized manner.
For Massive to not recognize the need for an easier version is pure ignorance. I'm sure they have already seen the player numbers since the raid released so we'll see how long it takes them to react to the state of the game.
In WoW we have a system to counter that. When you do mythic you can use a mod that pulls out data directly from battlenet servers showing in real time the stats of said character with his DPS efficency and healing and his overall experience in various Difficulty levels and how many times he/she was successfull and so on compared to the average population and how he's ranked worldwide and serverwide . If someone gets in a matchmaked raid or Mythic and doesn't meet the requirements for said difficulty it get not invited or kicked. Because in WoW having evena single character that doesn't know how to play his class or he's just bad at it means (at higher end game content) that everybody will fail. And still it has matchmaking for everything, raid included (with lower GS as rewards but still you can doit and get better at the content before going with any guild and play the various ahrder difficulties with better and more powerful versions of the same items).Originally Posted by R1_Stealth Go to original post
Forgot to mention that even tho clearing a raid in WoW takes months sometimes in first runs, it still respond to the same mechanics players are used to. Thing that In D2 raid is alien (well because D2 doesn't have mechanics so)
