Hitokiri is actually one of the Weaker classes in the game with no real opener and no mixups that works against decent player, his design is step in the wrong direction though and promotes turtling both for him and the opponent if they dont have bashes.

Indeed. We should never use facts and expertise when discussing hero balance in the game. Why that would result in a more knowleadgeable and logical minded community that takes a facts based appraoch to discussions. And we definitely wouldn't want that.

Just because you have her/play her doesn't mean you understand her great.

And if we're not considering top level play then there's zero reason to have a discussion at all. Because anything is viable and works outside high level play.

Even if she was the best possible hero in the entire game at normal level of play that doesn't really hold any significance. As player skill has much more of an impact and counter picking is basically irrelevant.

So his argument is invalid because he used the findings of experts...?

That's like saying to your doctor that he's wrong because you already Googled some of the symptoms you've been experiencing and got "the answer" from some dodgy site (probably Wikipedia).

Now look here buddy, we all know that stuff like science is totally invalid if it was brought to us by experts. The guy on the street corner told me that eating only sugar for breakfast, lunch and dinner is the healthiest lifestyle approach. And he's right God dammit because he only tells me things I already agree with!

I badly expressed myself, sorry. What I meant is, expert payers play the game in a different fashion than average players. They know the game pretty well, that's true, but they are also the minority. Not giving hitokiri a nerf because she's percieved as "B" tier in high level play is not always good for the community.

Both sides valid & kinda the issue. VS one & play optimal = she is bad, vs on playing for fun & shes OP. For me its the GB window on uncharged heavy startup that annoys me, correct reads cant be baited. Removing the hyperarmour would fix response trades, but i'd rather be able to bait said trade and GB it so at least we have some mind games involved

Reason I keep using PK in my arguments is yes shes not powerful but that kinda the point, with a base kit she cannot really do anything - that is an issue.

I think I said it somewhere else but a few easy changes are

    1) charged heavies can be soffeinted into a dodge (helps bait a bash and deal with it) - also allows dash forward chase for rolling (may need dash heavy timing/damage fixes)
    2) some realistic vulnerability outside of parries PLEASE to aim for, GB, light windows, whatever. Give me something to shoot for please other than a parry
    3) needs heavy feint stamina reduces, actual heavies cost more stamina
    4) the lights need a nerf on damage, they should be entrances & exists from the infinate combo, not the bread & butter of the character

EDIT: the issue with charged attack tracking is in dominion only- in dominion you need windows to do 'double movement' i.e. if i dodge a bash to the left away from the enemy on my right I can avoid both with that one action. The punish tracking on this character however means you get hit for 40 damage for dodging 'early'. This means the best move in that scenario is get bashed by enemy 1 then hit by the charged attack so at least your revenge feeds. That is a problem. Again allow the dash cancel punish to help duels but leave dominion with a block-able attack

EDIT: lvl 4 feat for me is indicative of this character... hit or miss. For that feat i'd say (balance the figures but will use 50 as an example) that on hit is does 50 damage with a 50 damage AOE 'slam' (stacks hit to 100). Increase range. This means you can now hit someone hard but not insta kill, on miss you peel. You can finish somone running, jump into a mate being 3 v 1's, use it yourself in a 3 v 1 etc. For me options are the lifeblood of this game

I want her neutral HA to be nerfed in some capacity. I just also want her to be buffed else where because that's the only thing she has going for her currently.
