After 2k hours in D1 I've took my time in D2 and some weeks to get to WT5. Unlike D1 I grouped up a fair bit and it was obvious to me players were just chucking on highest gear score to get over the requirements to progress. Well of course with no thought into build they were wiping a lot. Now many would say it was pointless before WT5 to worry about build but my point is many have probably jumped into the raid without thought. It's funny a known PVP player giving advice about DTE that's really old news to a decicated PVE player. I have no experience of raids in other games but thought in D2 it really should have been about team work and build diversity (lol). It would be interesting to know if teams had a prebrief before each session or just jump in. However much I want that exotic AR when random matchmaking comes (and it will) its going to be a right laugh, Or thrown controllers. Oh and they really should have introduced a team of super Hunters at the end as those were some of the best legendary bosses in D1.
Until next week where you all come back saying there is no reason to grind for loots because all the content is accessible with a random build. Then we get the "dead game, no content" posts. Grinding for gear to be able to tackle harder content is a core element of the game. If your build won't let you do the raid now, then grind and do it in a month, the raid is not going anywhere.Originally Posted by Noisehammer Go to original post
I paid my $100 just like you and this was included in the price for ME as well. I'm at the last boss and the only real thing holding me back at times is time it self. With that said it wasn't fun. I feel more like I got extremely lucky with spawns more so than I did with "learning" the mechanics of the game. I feel i didn't get rushed as much and other times I got swarmed by 4 or 5 enemies. It seems to me like it's 100% about the spawns. For the raid JUST TO HAVE A CHANCE I had to completely change my build to some boring point and pull the trigger mess. DPS DPS DPS. Same old cookie cutter build using the same old guns. I'd MUCH rather have a GOOD HARD HITTING 4k Skill power build but we all know that the devs are racist against skill power users.

As a casual player myself and one who plays after work 1am-6am, raises three children, and works 50hrs at two jobs; I see no point in wanting it “nerfed”.
I’ve Matchmade every night, no conversations, just grinded out gear slowly but surely for a build that isn’t Meta, but does well enough on heroic.
The raid is similar to a drivers license. You have to be a certain age to drive, pass tests, and prove you’re ready. The same goes for the raid. You have to be ready for the raid, you have to pass the dps check, and sadly you have to find enough skilled people to run with.
You may have paid for the content, but that doesn’t mean a win should be given to you. Earn it.
Maybe all of you could go buy an NES then email Capcom to remake MegaMan, Tradewest to remake Battletoads and Arcadia Systems to remake SilverSurfer easier for you. None of you complainers would be able to play or beat the difficult retro games and all you had was a 2 button controller with a D-pad.
the game has very little content, the few skeleton crew of players still playing this joke of a game need fresh **** to do. painstakingly banging your head against a wall in a raid isn't fun, this isn't world of Warcraft, and ubiscum aren't blizzard, they are barely capable of getting you past the loading screen, **** like this is just beyond their capability. a raid should not be released this difficult in this game ever.. 90% of the time doing matchmaking all I am ****ing doing is carrying dumb ****ing noobs. **** carrying 7.
all they've done is turn a good game into a **** game, and then tac on a terrible raid that no one in massive is qualified to do.
TD2 is the same price as a single player game that's over and done in 20 hours. Never to be played again. Just sayin'Originally Posted by Juxax2019 Go to original post
I'm just going to say. World of Warcraft had many of it's raids and even dungeons nerfed due to players being unable to complete them in a timely and reasonable manner. Complaining about changes is what children do. But what real people and gamers should do is carry on with the change. Holding a grudge again is a childish thing to do if they nerf the raid. Cool, you passed a boss where even 99.8% of the player base has "STILL" yet to pass it. Boomer is even arguably more difficult than Buddy and Lucy. Or even The 2nd set of bosses in the hanger.
Massive is looking at this post and probably thinking the same as anyone else that doesn't have childish thoughts.
To under go change is a good thing. To not nerf or even acknowledge that. Hey people want Matchmaking. And yes hey, Boomer is pretty ridiculous and has too many mechanics all at once. Not once in WoW did people ever think oh, there's too many mechanics and I'm going to have an aneurysm just trying to overcome 3 of the 8 continuous mechanics.
NO There are boundaries and breaking points that need to be pointed out.
I myself included will say. As a 9year WoW veteran (played since vanilla raid attunements/3diverse spec talent trees/grinding weapon stats to 200-250.
Yes, things need to be tweaked.
Yes, things need to be able to be completed by both the "casual crowd" and the hardcore crowd.
Yes, We need to All Under go Change and diversify ourselves.
Change your mindsets people
Stop trying to hinder progress.
Are we still taking about a freaking game?Originally Posted by MutantCowboy x Go to original post
