    Off vs Def

I just wanted to make a thread where we the players can talk about the direction the combat is going. Feel free to add your opinion and hopefully this thread will continue and be seen.
    What side are you on?
Are you for the offensive focused gameplay that the devs are seeing in the future or are you more of a defender who focuses on waiting for openings? Which characters best embody your type of play?

    Hyper armor vs assassins

Okay so I get that the heavies are supposed to be big and strong and all, but all of the hyper armor with shugoki and sakura and now raider has completely taken the appeal of an assassin character out of the game. What good is a dodge if I can't counter afterwards? I heavily relied on dodging with orochi and shinobi to create openings, but now everytime I dodge and attack I get overpowered! The only way for an assassin to create an opening now is to parry or deflect which isnt really fair considering every time I attack other characters can use that to start a combo. That isnt very balanced in my opinion. Spot on timing to create an opening vs ehhh just keep pressing buttons? Come on dev's throw me a bone here. If you plan on keeping this hyper armor you're going to have to buff every assassin in the game. Btw defense based is the way to go. I saw this as more of a strategy game. If I want a button masher I'll put mortal combat in.

I like the idea of a more offensive gameplay in For Honor. What I don't like is the way the Devs are trying to approach this goal. The reworks are turning the characters into 50/50 machines. And with them For Honor is, too. The game has turned into a guassing game which little skill cap.
Shugoki for example. I used to love this character. I played him since release. But his rework turned him into a 50/50. hyper armor machine. His skill cap went from 100 to 0, well that's how it feels.

I prefer a strategy combat whose every move can define life or death than an aggressive nonsense combat

    but this is my opinion
