    I don't understand this damage

    Model 700 does 41.3k damage.

I'm in conflict and I hit someone with model 700. Body shot 33 meters away for 48,592 damage.

According to the inspect screen, the person I hit has roughly 320,000 health+armor.

    320,000/48,592=6.5

It takes 7 body shots to kill 1 person. I did a test to see what that would look like. Without aiming, it takes 18 seconds to fire 7 shots.

Clearly, I can't kill someone with Body shots. Let's look at a head shot.

19 meters away for 120,010 damage.

    320,000/120,000=2.6

It takes 3 head shots to kill 1 person.

This seems so wrong to me. Is this just normal game design? Did I run into cheaters? Bugs?

What doesn't make sense? Are you complaining about the game not being realistic or do you feel like you should be one shotting enemy players? The only way you're going to one shot is if you have a build for it and if they have poor armor+health. Distance also comes into play. There is an individual sweet spot for each weapon type. Too close or too far will drop your damage.

Would you prefer more realism? Because if you take a .308 round to the body you're done. Maybe not dead that second, but going to die very soon afterwards. Obviously if you take a .308 to the head you're going to drop like a sack of rocks and quickly go wherever you go when you die. What are you looking for here?

This man expects realism in a fantasy world where every enemy human can take a magazine of bullets to the face and still run as fast as a Kenyan while simultaneously teleporting up and down ledges by sheer will alone.

41k on a model 700 seems kind of low,I mean if you are in world tier 5.

There is a decent Hunting M44 for sale at the white house right now..Those use a mag to load,so you are not sitting there in a pinch reloading..

I had 125k on my model 700 but dumped it because of the reload time..

You probably have to up your weapon damage to bring your damage up on your weapons..

I 100% agree. I made this thread about a very similar subject
    https://forums.ubi.com/showthread.ph...weapon-balance!!!!

Marksman rifles are a joke, especially in challenge, and a garunteed suicide in heroic. Rifles and shotguns are just as bad. While playing solo I managed to get quite skilled with the Rifle and Marskman rifle. Developed nice builds, got a steady aim, and learned some strategies on enemy behaviors as far as the best time to shoot. Lo and behold, I go back to matchmaking missions. I immediately become embarassed by my damage compared to ARs and LMGs. The guy with 460 gear score fresh into WT5 is shooting lines across the wall and when an enemy's body happens to be fall in range of the invisible npcs he's targeting, he ends up taking down enemies just as fast as me. Worst part about it, I'm lining up shots, using cover, and all the necessary actions in order to reduce my stability. The AR user is running around picking up loot and quick aiming anything that gets in his/her way.
