Transition from div 1 to div 2

So when i started div 1, I did it as a mostly solo effort — it took yoinks, but after a while I was a top notch nomad with a “house” that kicked ***.
Then, I started div 2, and was suddenly insecure — all the stuff I could do, suddenly didn’t work anymore, and I was just dead.
What to do? I grinded through the ranks as a team player and reached level 499 in no time. But I don’t dare do solo anymore.... (nearly)
    Anyone else with the same?

You have to use cover more in this game than the last one..
Also,Put more concern into stats and attributes than into gear score ..

Reds will lay you out in a heart beat if you let them,no matter the build you have..

So you relied on a Nomad with House while playing Division 1 and now you don't seem to understand why you are **** at the game. That was unexpected...

Drop a message to Terry, he'll work something out for you two in the next patch.

It's a different game, and that is intended. I had to realize that, and I did almost anything in The Division. I see The Division 2 as challenge, as I did with it's predecessor. I also have to motivate myself to carry on, but I think that is the right mindset.

It was definitely a jump from the faster, almost abrupt pace of The Division to The Division 2. Like Neo_Wildcard mentions, it takes a shift of mindset. One piece of major advice I shared quite a bit in the early days of the beta and release was to try and forget some of what you've learned from other 3rd person cover shooters. TD2 is like them without being LIKE them. It's a different system that demands to be addressed as such.

I'm confident though that if you could learn, adapt, and overcome the challenges of The Division, that you can do the same with the sequel. It might just take a concerted effort, some friendly hints, and far less friendly mistakes along the way.

Yeah, it's a bit of a shift, to be certain. Although for some odd reason, trying to run through West Side Piers by myself now is an exercise in futility.
Ah well. I'm having fun in 2, I'll get the rest of those shields done in 1 eventually I suppose.

I don't find that much difference in the game as I see it. In fact other than location I'd say D2 is a backward step from D1. Less to explorer. Can't enter as many buildings, explorer as many roof tops, or as many balconies or roofs to fight from not that they arn't there just not utilized. All D2 has going for it is the graphics. And nice scenery does not a good game make. You threw away what worked in D1 and produced a boring mediocre game. This game needs a real make over. Mediocre special missions for year one pass holders. Big boring fail. A so called raid that can't be played on console bigger fail. This game needs more help then D1 ever did.
