My point, as others have clarified for you, is that we should have the “choice” to play the raid or look for additional players, as should anyone who paid for the game. Without matchmaking this is not possible, without investing more time in another forum looking for people.Originally Posted by J0s3e Go to original post
Also, I am aware of how much I can play and I would be very clear on this with any team I play with, which is the right thing to do. If this limits raids I can get into then so be it (which it could), but at least I had a “chance” to play it.
Selfish? No, open and honest, just like I would expect from others I am going to raid with. I would think some teams would like someone like me available for a boss or two when they lose a team member or to just “try” the first boss, etc.
I agree with the OP completely. However, I may have different reasons, as I am mostly really interested in playing solo. As such I also have no friends who play video games generally, let alone friends who play TD2 (my old brain always re-reads that as Test Drive 2).
@Massive specifically:
My biggest gripe is that you locked away an exotic - the only exotic I want - in the raid rewards - when all the others are available in activities I can complete solo (or matchmake if I have to - but I rarely do). WHY?!?!?!?!
And just a comment about the raid content I have seen on YouTube against what your promo stuff said about it, as well as you post here saying. You said the content of the raid would be difficult and that specific builds would be required, but the world fist crew just brute forced it with some coordination, so trial and error on the mechanics, and a lot of DPS and healing., so I think you missed the mark you were going for. I've never understood why as game developers, the game's NPCs cannot be adjusted on the fly to the player gear that turns up to an event, and to the player skill they encounter.I know some of the latter already occurs as I was getting constantly rushed before you patched it, particularly on Challenging difficulty.
Going forward for future raids: divide up the event so that each encounter can be done as an even in a sequence like a quest where one can do it a piece at a time and return to the quest-line at a later date so solo players and time-starved groups can do the even in time-manageable chunks.
"divide up the event so that each encounter can be done as an even in a sequence like a quest where one can do it a piece at a time and return"
The present raid as I understood from the last devs video interview , more or less ( after a boss fight episode) incorporates coming back on a later time to continue
I just came across this: The Division 2 will get raid matchmaking but only when Ubisoft can be sure it "won't generate frustration"
Made me chuckle
Surely someone at Ubisoft may have thought that not having matchmaking could possibly cause frustration?
I don't really care, I've heard this 2-3 hour mission can be finished in under 30mins and isn't that great anyway.
Is this due to the rather idiotic difficulty levels in this game?
Normal is pointless
Hard is easy
Challenging used to be quite challenging, but as soon has Heroic appeared, it become pretty easy and quite similar to Hard.
Heroic is just stupid and frustrating - does anyone bother with this?
I wish there was another level between Challenging and Heroic... maybe with all yellow enemies that don't instantly charge at you as soon as a mission starts?
I agree completely. Was expecting another "its too hard for solo" thread, but everything pointed out is correct.
The argument that matchmaking is bad because assembling a team of 8 randoms won't work..... people are just going to third party services to look for groups. That is effectively the same thing.
Yes, bring back Legendary please!Originally Posted by T4nnHauser Go to original post
