    Looter Shooter Game

Right now everybody talks about raid - many complain, some are satisfied with it, but...

I would like to touch on something much more deeper and important right now.

What makes a good looter shooter game?

    1. Promising reward/item/drop loop that make players go after it
    2. Interesting, repeatable and engaging activities that allow (point number 1)
    3. Good combat system that is fun and pleasant enough to hook you in game and make point 1 and 2 fun for hours
4 New content - events, activities, modes and items added to the game to keep it fresh

And now - is Division 2 a good looter shooter game today? The answer is no. This game has many core problems that need to be adressed, because right now:

Point number one does not really exist - loot is not rewarding, sets are not worth chasing, there are way way to litlle special items like exotics to chase for. This is the biggest problem in my opinion right now, becasue even with good execution of points 2,3 and 4 - without point number 1, well...

Point number 2 - I would say that there are many activities but without point number 1 it gets boring very fast. Game is still pretty fresh so we can expect more content come, or at least wish for it.

Point number 3 - combat overall is good in this game, but.. enemies Ai have to come back where its been, skills have to be adjusted to be more effective in game, more exotic weapons and sets that change gameplay style have to be added

Point number 4 - As I said game is fresh so I don't expect it to be added quickly but some time events would be nice.

So here you have Massive - fair and simple recipe for a Good Looter Shotter Game. Its simple and I think at this state of the game still doable. So do you want this game to step up as a good game overall or to be doomed as a forgotten potential???

I purposely didn't say anything about PVP - I'm not a PVP player in this genre because in my opinion it does not work very well. There are many better games for PVP shooting in my opinion, but thats just my point of view.

Hi, and that is what I posted yesterday.

And I have to ask myself, how much more is MASSIVE ready to go further against all of that?

"We hear you loud and clear", sure... But did they understand it? I don't think so. In the economy, you would call that kind of thing untrustworthy (for example: No one wants to buy a car that is permanently changed), and of course not fine-tuning or optimization. And that is the core of my message: How much more changes in the mechanics, the environment and the gear are reasonable?

There are ways to change, but you have to made them acceptable. And you have to approach with caution. Not with like a sledgehammer!

I had so much fun in The Division, it was a neverending journey, but besides from (my) sense of humor and goodwill, there is not much left of it (in The Division 2). On the one hand, you will be flooded with items, on the other there comes nothing outstanding with it. And to go more into detail, the mod-managment is cheap, the calibration is useless now and the items are too substandard for to set aside.

I really miss that spark MASSIVE delivered with The Division. It's not that I wanna have a second one, but the structures where there.

Additionally, maybe I should tell that I bought several editions of The Division 2, and it's predecessor (as presents inside my family).

Never thought I'd say this but the devs should take a page out of destiny 2s book. The game feels rewarding , took a year to get there and I've never been a destiny fan but it has scratched the itch
