This thread is about raids. Lets forget for a moment the missing matchmaking. This early morning before going to work, i have read that some dudes on Twitch took 5 hours to beat the raid. Other dudes spent maybe 10. Before going to work, i took a look at Twitch, and the first on the list i checked were dudes still there trying to beat the raid, still streaming after 18 hrs non stop.
I dont know you, Ubisoft, but im 36, almost 37 and i have a daytime job. I work all day long and i get back home the evening pretty tired. Many people here feel the same. Yes i play games, but for like1-2 hours before going to sleep having to wake up early next morning.
Like i mentioned in the title, do you think we are all useless Twitch streamers or unemployed kids with nothing to do all day long but playing videogames for 5-10-15-20 hours non stop? Why do raids have to take so long to be beaten? Without mentioning that the game still may disconnect you for no reason. I'd be funny to play for 2 hours straight and then get disconnected lol
It's a raid, and isn't that long or hard, on certain games the raids remained unbeaten for days.Originally Posted by II--LEGATVS--II Go to original post
You have a ceckpoint if you beat a boss, so you can start from the part 2 the day later
Raids are the longest hardest content/activities in all games, that's what they are.
If you haven't got the time to do them then either don't do them or make time.
Here is an idea give it a week then go watch a ytube guide then get friends to gether and follow the guide if you still can't do it in a certain amount of time then Raiding is not for you.
They're not supposed to be easy and they are not supposed to be done in a 10 minute dash.
dude in my 40's and all my buddies were like it ******** , even to are kids , not bother on game .Originally Posted by II--LEGATVS--II Go to original post
That's a fair analysis but like I said in another thread discussing the same thing.Originally Posted by II--LEGATVS--II Go to original post
He is a Division and Ubisoft content creator/streamer so in a way Worlds First stayed at home and didn't go to other clans who tried like Redeem who are revered in Destiny. But we all knew that Marcos team would have got it. Most are committed, prepared, dedicated, competitive, theory-crafting Division players and full time streamers. The only other clan which would have come close would have been Streamerhouse.
What I would like to see happen in the future is more competitive clans in Division. This is the first time Ubisoft made a Raid and a semi decent attempt at it. Now I hope Ubisoft continue to improve the game, communicate better, give more than 2 days preparation time because you know we have other real life commitments and fix the damn 100% CPU usage.
Do even understand how raids were made from players back then , there fun and the ******** , was from trolls long before trolls , most just was way to have fun grinding . Need understand how raid were created from fans , long before developers made them , and the fun , once devs got trolled were all f...Originally Posted by Sensible-Jack Go to original post
Are you aware of the effects of your current "casual" nature has on the game? This is no attack on you personally, but you must understand the effects of extensively casual-fying the game.Originally Posted by II--LEGATVS--II Go to original post
A raid, in the realm of video games, is known to be extensive experience that requires communication, coordination, and overall patience. It, as a term relative to video games, is known to be a hardcore experience and Division 2's raid, even back when the devs were talking about it pre-launch, said the raid is the hardcore experience. If a casual player tries to get the devs to compensate him or her for being a casual by tailoring the raid to please the casual status, you essentially subtract the excite factor or incentive for the hardcore players, possibly pushing them away from the game and it's selfish to think pushing hardcore players away is okay.
Thus, if you only play the game for 1 or 2 hours as a casual, and push hardcore players away because you're trying to please those that only play for 1 or 2 hours, you'll have a relatively dead game, or a game with extremely low activity.
You cannot think selfishly, but from what I've seen, it is only the casual players who are. That is why the community is currently in shambles because people are being selfish.
Raids are supposed to be the hardest content in every game and yes they take that long. (And its good so)
With time, better tactics and better gear ofc they get shorter and shorter.
We all have jobs and other purposes but at the weekend its always possible to find a lil bit time to grab yor friends/clanmates and to do the raid for few hours.
@ Sensible:
Okay i understand they are, lets call call them the toughest activities of this game. Not asking them to last 10 minutes dash. But neither 5 hours straight. It's insane. Let's make the hypothesis that Marco's clan in the 5 hrs they spent, spent two hrs just figuring out what to do and how to beat the bosses. Excluding that, we have still 3 hrs of raid gameplay. And i think it's too long anyway. In my opinion an adeguate time could be around 50 minutes - 1 hr max to make all happy.
And then theres the problem of finding people to play with (raids). Yesterday i i logged in and nearby the helipad there were 3 people just waiting. I invited them in my group hoping others will come. Been waiting for 30 mins long and just 2 arrived. Of those 2, only one accepted the invite. So it's 5 people including me. 10 minutes later, a guy who joined earlier got tired of waiting and left. 5 minutes later another one left as well.
Then let's make another hypothesis that i had a full 8 squad to play with and we started the raid. How many of them are willing to play for 3-5 hrs straight without leaving at any point and how many of them are prone to stay in the game even after dying a single time?
Because it's what i see when i play heroic modes or similar with randoms. We all die at three quarters of the mission, mission resets because theres not checpoints and at least two of my team just leave for no reason.
Im of the idea perfection would be 50-1hr long raids and matchmaking even to refill the squad when people leave
Again if they are not willing to put the time in then they shouldn't be playing it. thats down to them and not the game.
Sorry that is what Raiding is, a long time consuming activity that's tests your skill and communication with friends or Randoms if need be..
I said it in another thread VoG(Vault of Glass Destiny) worlds first took 11 hours to complete. So 5 hours for this one is not a lot of time.
