    Previous PvP over current?

Is it just me, or was the previous PvP experience far more entertaining than the current. I liked the faster time to kills, the actual use of cover, and even the one shot builds. It encouraged each group to work AS a group, and to diversify. Now we have either the laser beaming AR builds that somehow get egregious amounts of damage literally from 2, maybe three talents, not even the actual damage rolls. Rifles have been made completely useless with the current damage modifiers, on top of the shadow nerf they implemented; cool down between shots. I hate macro players as much as the anyone else, but I mean it was never really a problem. The biggest issues in the game were the Berserk/strained/clutch builds that absolutely dominated the playing field when it came to close quarters. Topped off with the shield and defender drone it goes without saying it was cheese.
The other issue was the LMG hipfire... literally having been told about this should TU3 be released without ANY thought into LMGs that would be the meta. I have an LMG build, haven't changed it... AT ALL. I don't have On the Ropes, I don't have spotter, I don't have any blue generic damage mods. Literally all I have is LMG damage on the gloves, weapon damage on the backpack and vest, thats it. Somehow I am able to just run around a group hip firing and out DPS them most of the time. Division 2 has taken a GIANT leap backwards, and I dare say back to Division 1 days where LMGs were the only guns used in the darkzone. I loved my rifle build pre-TU3. It was so rewarding to land 3 headshots and watch a player drop. That required skill. It wasn't a one shot, it wasn't fully automatic fire that just bursted down player's armor. No, three well placed shots and I had the satisfaction of dropping a player. I had specced out into a lot of rifle damage thanks to the Marksmen specialization, the Overlord vest with 9.5 AWD, and a pair of gloves that rolled 12% rifle damage. Top it with Compensated and you've got yourself one hell of a rifle build. Now, I have 31% all weapon damage and 41% rifle damage... and one shot to a players head BARELY skims off TWO SEGMENTS... The heck happened? The skill gap now is personally far worse than it was before. All you need to be good is an LMG. Personally, I want the old TTK back, and while you're at it massive, make it so when you hipfire an LMG while jogging that you have a chance, if not indefinitely, get staggered. Another option is to give LMGs a negative stability, negative accuracy while being hipfired, make it so hard that it ACTUALLY IS A RISK to do it. That way it really would be a last resort. In the meantime, I'm going to play Destiny 2.

I agree, they went way too far with the damage modifier. Gameplay is slugish now, shooting into pillows, with multiple reloads, blah.

Exactly, hated Div 1 PvP for that reason. This was the cause of chicken dancing because you had so much health/armor that you didn't need to hide behind things. Division can't have tanky builds and be a cover based shooter at the same time, its not possible.

Agreed. PvP is *** now. There are two builds you can run in the DZ or you get hammered.

This was a giant step backwards.

Yep agreeded, say good bye to cover with this ttk. Fix it and hip fire asap or pvp will die

They need to make it brutal when fighting out of cover, something like an additional 50-60% damage taken.

No, they need to revert back the damage modifier they messed with. The game was fine before, they just needed to fix Clutch builds, but instead they screwed it all up. Now its LMG or fail.

I preferred the quicker one, so it was more player having a good aim to down another than both running in circles with LMGs dropping heals all over again
