One operates the minigun, the others hold off the mobs and lure the boss in front of the gun.
Yes it is possible to damage him with normal guns. You just have to get him to a 'vulnerable' phase. In order to do that, they guy with aggro has to kite him close to a minigun and whoever is operating the minigun has to shoot his backpack to bring him 'down'. At that point you have 5 maybe 6 seconds where you can damage him normally. Then he goes back to chasing someone. Of course there is still the fact that someone has to be disabling his chest (AFAIK that's a weak point that you have to destroy on a regular basis to prevent him from healing, thus negating all your hard work) and people should still be looking out for immunity node activations (Nodes are numbered A, B, C, D) and using the laptops at the center to prevent activation while at the same time bringing down the number of adds because they can easily overwhelm you if you leave them unchecked. Tbh, it's a lot of sh*t to watch out for but it is what it is.

give it a couple days and well made videos ala FatbossTV (wow) will explain every mechanic in a well presented manner.

same thing in wow , you go for a boss blind you get rekt ; but if you have everyone do their homework watching the fatboss video you see things fall into place.

Good to know the thing about the chest piece. I saw him taking damage once when I was shooting at him with the minigun - and he immediately healed back to 100%. LOL

How to defeat Max “Boomer” Bailey boss
The boss is immune to damage at first. At least one player will have to act as bait. Whoever spots a red eye icon in the middle of the screen – this means the boss will go after them. They should use the furniture in the middle of the room as distractions to slow him down. While they’re kiting him, others should deal with adds and mount the turrets. When you see a red box on the boss’ back, shoot it in order to stun him. When he drops to his knees, focus damage on him.
The turrets jam easily, so you have to drag the boss around the room. Also, he has a healing plate on his chest. Whoever is baiting him should shoot at it whenever it starts glowing. This will stop him from healing. Keep the adds and the boss away from the turrets – they’ll try to destroy them. Also make sure you destroy the signal sources whenever they start glowing again, since they provide immunity to the enemies.
