It is kind of unfair for people who can't muster 7 other people for a pre-made. The game is pretty much based around matchmaking already as well. I don't see why it shouldn't have matchmaking. There's plenty of options for players to control who is in their group, Somebody sucks? Kick them, teach them or carry them. So the whole "I don't want to play with randos" justification is complete and total ********.

Especially when you consider the fact it wouldn't even effect the pre-made groups. If you already have 16 people, then you won't even be in the matchmaking pool anyway, so why do you care if the raid has matchmaking? That alone should be enough for everyone to see there is no justification for not having MM. There is literally no reason to not have it, period. Essentially all this does is cut off a huge portion of the playerbase from ever getting any gear from or even seeing the raid. Which is going to divide the playerbase even more.

If the game keeps going the current direction it is right now at the same rate, it will be dead in a year and that's not hyperbole. The vast majority of players don't want to join a clan, already have a small clan of their own and/or aren't sociable. So great job Ubisoft. If your goal is to drive players away from your game like it has the bubonic plague, you're on the right track.
