Before we continue with the general negativity towards the Raid and it's lack of MM

While I can empathize with the complaints about a lack of matchmaking in the Raid, I also can understand the other side of not having matchmaking available on this endgame content that is being advertised as the "pinnacle activity."

For those of you who are angry about not having matchmaking, again, I hear you and sympathize with your ideas. But remember, the raid hasn't even been released yet, least as of the creation of this thread, so maybe it won't interest you to play it, or maybe it will be easier than promised and you'll have an easier time asking to be in an LFG/LFR group since the content won't be as difficult. But again, we haven't seen the raid yet, so at least refrain from really being outraged at anyone until we know how the raid works.

For those who are happy that matchmaking isn't active, I can understand why, but you also have to understand what the other crowd is saying. I see the most snobby, elitist attitudes coming from this camp. There is nothing wrong with having a team of randoms attempt such an activity (especially after it's released and guides are made). There is alot of things wrong with wanting to artificially restrict the ability of most players in the playerbase from playing this free content based on free time or ability to make friends or have clanmates that can hop on at the same time. I, for example, consider myself a decent player in terms of playtime, but my ability to socialize isn't too great. Should I be restricted from the content I wish to play? As for the argument of "use the LFG or official Discord," for one, LFG sites are generally very iffy in terms of being able to reliably get a team and maintain one, especially if the one creating the group has an elitist attitude and kicks someone for doing anything they perceive as a sleight against them, and two, maybe people don't wanna jump through hoops when the game has clearly shown that it is very much able to handle matchmaking and finding randoms to play with.

All in all, I'm more or less just tired of seeing the same argument on pretty much every thread/post about the raid. I'm not so disgruntled that I'm gonna make a "I'm quitting Div2" post, but I also am not entirely happy with seeing this activity walled off to, at least in my opinion, the 1%.

tbh the forums explode because people are angry over ridiculous tweaks to the game designed to benefit no one. it's like a almost perfect launch got disassembled down to the unpatched state it was 9 months ago, with a few things added for longevity.

they told everyone they would raise the gs cap to 500, so naturally allot of people left before hitting burn out, and im guessing they freaked and felt they had to micromanage the remaining players. it's still enjoyable but only for very brief amounts of time.

the lack of mm in the raid doesn't bother me too much because the idea of a raid is nice, but it's going to be a mess and I cba with it. if anything I just want the achievement. besides on xbox one if I MM for a mission all I ever do is carry noobs, **** carrying 7.

some ppl are just dandy with being lied to their problem.

others are right to be angry.

im more somewhere in the middle, just flabbergasted and in the mood to not trust ubisoft ever again.

I didn't buy this game to be told I have to go on twitter or discord. 3rd party social mediums will be just as random as matchmaking for actual randoms. they can talk all they want about how difficult this content is but as with anything in gaming these days content creators will quickly put out walkthroughs and strategy guides and in less that a week post launch everyone will be speed running their so called hardest content just to farm the gear. sure people who aren't coordinated groups will fail at first but people will quickly learn through streamers and youtube what to do and you will be hard pressed after a week to find anyone going into the raid not knowing what to expect or how the mechanics works. hell by the time the " raid build" videos go up everyone will be running the same builds anyway.

I have a feeling it's gonna be a mess too, but I still will wait and see that happens.

The elitist attitude... I have played through main missions on challenge like the boss fight in tidal basin and the dock with two explosive tanks and boat on roosevelt island. Both of them were hard as fu... and the reason why? Because of randoms with bad gear without synergy. Now on a bigger group scale of 8 players, do you want to carry others? But the team is double the size? I sure as hell woudn't. And if it's true that raid is harder, like even harder than tidal basin or roosevelt on a bad team. Then raid may not get beaten. So I would rather properly geared players, especially in clan so we can look at eachother's to see if we are competent.

i could care less about the Raid but i cant see any reason that matchmaking wasnt implemented. I havnt heard one good excuse for it, i get what they are saying about the difficulty and experience and blah blah blah but the good groups would do the LFG regardless and not use matchmaking whatsoever. If people want to lose their minds and try to do it with a bunch of randoms from MM, that should be their prerogative.

what annoys me is this was the endgame we were promised its what weve been waiting for , finnaly an activity that all the grinding is meant to be working toward. the day before it comes out we find out its actually a side niche activity most of us cant play and isnt designed to be playable by normal division 2 mechanics. and there is no end game.

Maybe they're trying to say that people without active clans are not at endgame stage.

You carry them as in, they are all dead but your clear the encounter and res everyone? You heal everyone so they don't die and deliver all the dps while they are just standing around doing jumping jacks and disco? You carry them as in you stuff them in your pouch like a koala and climb up trees to lazily eat leaves?

I hear massengill comes in all flavors.
