Let us recalibrate any stats until the score is consumed

Now that gear has a 'recalibration score', why not just let us recalibrate any of the attributes/talents until the score is consumed?

The limited recal score means you can't just put all the highest attributes on a piece of gear, but would go a long way in eliminating the horrible RNG gear grind.

But why take away another (the last one?) reason to farm? Surely you want a reason to keep going out there? If everything is just given to you (how you want it) then what reason is left to play.

Personally I played (stopped now as it's too easy/boring) using only gear I looted. Wouldn't use vendors/crafting/recal.

I was literally debating this very point with a nobody on Reddit yesterday. He chose to buy a looter shooter but then complained about how the grind was too much and left him too little time with his real world life and demanded the devs to put in shortcuts.

He lost his cool eventually and reduced to trash talking. Good thing the block function is really accessible.

But you still have a reason to farm, it's not like maxing out recalibration scores will give you a full god roll piece of gear. I recalibrated a chest piece to have +12.5% weapon dog and it went up to 83% calibration score. The rest of it is trash, it was the same gear brand I was already using but was uncalibrated.

Being able to move like 1 attribute and 1 talent onto your gear seems fair, it wouldn't remove the need to farm because recalibrated trash gear is still trash, but it just gives us a little bit of added flexibility.

i support the idea to ignore the only on attribute change.
use 40 Rec Score for Perks
    And current score for attributes.
so if you want to increase all your atributes on an item you could, but the ammount would decrease with the potency transfered.
i have a vest with 3 red 1 blue. inwould like to exchange all reds for either improved versions or a different one. also inwant to exchange the blue one. but i can only change one..

Or can limit to one talent and one attribute to be amended... That would already make the whole recalibration system more flexible.

PvP and Heroic. PvP blows when you're constantly losing to people with better gear just because they have way more time to farm out min/max (blue generic farming anyone?). There's also those of us who want to try different styles of builds without having to spend hours or days farming for pieces before we even know if we'll like it or not.

PvP has normalisation, so it shouldn't be an issue to adjust that, in theory. i.e. you all are normalised to the best the weapons and gear you are wearing can be.

At the moment your farming for those elusive pieces that are the highest gearscore possible. By having the ability upgrade pieces it doesn't matter what gearscore your item is; gearscore will then determine the amount of effort you need to put in to upgrade it. At your own pace even.

My own preference, as I have said a few times is for a system like in Division 1 where you can recalibrate an item and upgrade it's gearscore. The primary grind was getting the Division tech to upgrade.
