    Ubi/Massive....Bug or Intended

I have posted in general about this but ain't getting any answers, but it has got me thinking.

When the testing was done for this latest patch there was no mention of it, also in the patch notes there is no mention of it so maybe (hopefully) it's a bug.

I really need a answer because if it is not a bug than i can concentrate on doing a different build and destroy the one i have now as it's useless, i simply cannot play with the MK17......and the Dps from the SIG is just to low for a rifle, even the MK17 Dps was not that good compared to AR's/SMG builds.

    Here is my original post:

    Hi,

I have been using the MK17 since launch and am loving it, never really been a ranged class before so it made a change, all my gear is built around using a Rifle, i don't play any other build as i am loving the rifle build to much.

Rifle's seem to be behind in the Dps charts compared to AR builds etc etc and i am fine with that as i play for fun.........

    BUT........

Since this latest patch i don't know what was going on, i thought is this lag, fps problem, i could not get my head around it, the MK17 feels like it's floating, missing shots, sometimes it feels like the magazine is getting stuck.

The overall feel of the weapon is horrible, don't know how it feels on p.c as i play on XB1 but for me it's horrendous.

Is this intended? if so what have you done to make the weapon like this?

Hopefully it's a bug and that i can look forward to playing my favorite build again in the near future.

I don't seem to be alone on this:

It would be great if you can confirm something on this because if it is intended than i will have to change weapon/build as i cannot play with a weapon that feels broken.

    All the best

Yes, I have been experiencing this as well. I think its a bigger change which just so happens to be really noticeable with the slower semi-autos.

As others have speculated both on these forums and on reddit.....the problem seems to be that we are now expected to click mouse or press trigger in perfect tune with what the weapons RPM is....

So in the case of the MK17....that comes to about a click every 0.22 seconds. Any faster than that and the gun acts like it gets jammed or "shots" get ignored. I believe before this patch there was some sorta input buffer which let the gun only fire at its specified rate but without the need for players to use a metronome.

With some of the faster semi-autos....like MDR the sluggishness is not as bad...I think this is because we can't click faster than the guns RPM.

Intended or not this is a really bad mechanic for a video game, where so many factors can have an impact ...input lag...server lag...yada yada.

I realize nobody cares...but if this was intended then I am done cause from a technical perspective that is extremely bad design for a video game.

Also, I realize this on the XBOX section....but I play on a PC but use a Controller....the problems exists regardless of platform.

I can say that UbiSailorScout reported this issue to the team, as we have seen other threads on this issue as well. Thank you for reaching out to report the matter. I cannot say for certain whether this change is intended, but even if it was intended your feedback is still taken seriously and changes will be considered.
