Sure occasionally people rage quit or lagged out, but I liked that I could complete them with only a couple friends and randoms if needed. This new forced MM that game companies are doing is 100% bull**** IMO and completely makes a portion of the game unavailable to players who cannot find 8 players without going to other means and that really sucks. I was looking forward to the Raid, but I only have a couple friends who actually still play the TD2 who work full time and are also parents and can only play occasionally, so MM was important to us to complete the Raid. This really is a bad move from Ubisoft and I think moving forward I will not be supporting Ubisoft games if they continue to go this route. Destiny 2 has alienated a large portion of its player base over the years due to not having MM on raids and now Ubisoft thinks its a good idea to do the same.
If this is the trend moving forward then game companies should offer a less expensive version of the game, which does not allow access to "must have team of 8 player experiences" instead of charging full price for a game and after launch saying "oh we wont have MM for the Raid, so good luck finding 8 players with apps, forums or whatever. Basically, we pay full price and now cant access that part of the game without working hard to find players. On a final note if you look at the LFG section for Destiny it is riddled with try hards who post stupid parameters like must have a certain KD or a certain weapon, or the old "BE GOOD", so we will have the same crap with this Raid!
Clans do not mean that their members will fare any better then non clan groups. And anyone who thinks that not having MM in raids is discriminatory, no different than restricting player participation based on race, color or religion. Discriminating against players who prefer to play solo not a good plan.
I'm not saying their reasoning is logical or even that it is a good decision. Massive has mad a ton of bad decisions since the release of world tier 5. How about the fact that world tier 5 loot was no better than world tier 4 loot. Useless gear sets. Useless exotics. Nerfing every decent talent in the game. Nerfing the difficulty of the game. Many many more bad decisions. They basically nuked their own playerbase and now they are left with a mere fraction of their playerbase, after a very successful launch. It's like they couldn't handle having a successful live service game so they chose to chase off most of the playerbase with stupid decisions, just to take the pressure off themselves. Obviously that's not what they really did. In reality, the reason for all the stupid decisions post launch probably has more to do with the team that made the game is, no longer working on the game. The team that made the game is probably working on The Division 3 now. It's become pretty obvious to me that the people working on the game now, have no idea what they're doing. No, i'm not saying their reasoning is sound and logical, i'm just saying that it is their reasoning.Originally Posted by ThePredator001 Go to original post
Well maybe if you weren't too lazy to read past the first sentence you would have realized that I am far from a raider elitist who pretends to be so superior to everyone else when it comes to calling out the stupid symbol the raid needs to shoot. I clearly stated that I hate the fact that raids are even being added to The Division because it always ends up being this huge piece of content that is only meant for 5 percent of the playerbase. I clearly stated that I won't even be able to experience the raid because I don't have 8 friends who play this game either and I clearly stated that the dev time and resources should have went towards adding some story dlc and new main missions instead of a raid for 5 percent of the playerbase.Originally Posted by djtickle360 Go to original post
They admited in the state of the game that the reason there will be no matchmaking for the raid is because the raid will require communication, teamwork, coordination blah blah blah and they don't think you will be able to do it with a matchmade group. Now, that is exactly what I said their reasoning for not having matchmaking, would be. This is why you shouldn't get excited when they add raids to the game. It's not a good thing. It's a bad thing. It's content that requires tons of resources and dev time, yet is only for 5 percent of the playerbase. That dev time and resources could have been spent making content for a much larger portion of the playerbase. I was pissed when I found out The Division would be adding raids and i'm also pissed that Ghost Recon Breakpoint will be adding raids.
Pretty true and i am with u for the first part (Division Raid is Cool) but seriously after all that s hitstorm here, just imagin what will happen if they have/had their random MM......Originally Posted by JHemp12 Go to original post
