I think it's time to give up on the reworks. They wont change them now.

We've seen what's happened with PK. She is the lowest in the winrate by a large margin, and even with that information ubisoft still dont want to do anything about it. It's time to accept that these developers have no intentions of going back to reworked heroes.I honestly have no hope for LB. They didn't fix any of his main issues, and they had 3 years to get this right. I'm giving up hope.

The only way you can manage to have an extended stay with the game and still have fun with it is if you learn to concede and let go.

I got too involved with the game trying to make it better. In a way I was almost treating the game like It was my kid and I was trying to take care of it.
Which made me emotionally invested. So I took a lot of **** personally. Both people's attitudes towards me here and whenever the devs would seem to hear something but not actually act on it. (i've actually cried a few times. Most of it was from dev decisions. But one was from a particular forum goer.)

So I stepped back. I don't make "fix" threads anymore. Nor bug reports. And I don't do nearly as much informative posts as I used to. I also usually try to avoid threads that give their own suggestions on how to improve something. And try to avoid giving my own suggestions unless asked for.

I guess what i'm getting at is I feel like I can relate to how you're feeling on some level. And i'm suggesting that if you want to still stick around and try to have fun that maybe backing away a bit might help you some. Sorry for the ramble.

The game started going downhill for me with the 400 ms attacks, now every rework is getting 400-500 ms lights, I tried to quit a couple times, but could only stay away a month or two. It's to the point now though that I'm finding myself only playing when my friends ask me to, and I basically need a full block character to compete.

I hope they figure out a way to change the combat in the next game if there is one, something different than needing 400-500 ms attacks, unblockables that can be cancelled a split second before it hits and followed by a near unreactable attack, soft feints with the same split second timings.

It's mentally fatiguing to fight in this game at a higher skill level, there is zero commitment to any attack and I think that is something they should work on for the next one.

Momentum and balance has nothing to do with this game and they are huge factors in any fight, maybe the stamina system should be replaced by a balance system, attack too often and lose your balance, cancel a big heavy swing and it would decrease your balance significantly, making any follow up attack weaker and if parried with low balance you could stumble leaving you vulnerable.

Just an idea, from someone who does not like the "everyone gets light spam and Hyper armor!" route they are taking. It'd be nice to see some realism.

I gave up all hope on the warlord. Oddly enough, I'm now kinda having fun again. They will never fix his block or parry punish, but who cares in the end. Games just a decent way to unwind and kill some time, it was never destined to be competitive

But if you're a diehard PK main, I'd suggest moving on lol

Spot on, my friend. It's still sad though, we make these posts exactly because we care. Let it be!

Since you're feeling like that, allow me to apologize for my dickish behavior towards you. The way I saw it/ seen it, you've said some unbelievable things and gave conflicting opinions on this game's progression and its heroes. I now see it was only because of your immense love for this game.

I love this game just as much. Even after the devs lied about removing Valkyrie's execution for "glitch reasons," I'm still playing it. I've taken multiple breaks from this game and I keep on coming back. I think this is the game with the most love-hate relationships with its players.

So yea. Sorry again. You take it easy.

    look at poor Shinobi

that fella needs major buffs to compete with the other assassins

as always PK mains knows nothing about balance .

It's taken me forever to both understand and accept that while the developers might want the same goal I do their vision on how to get there is different.

To put your mind at ease it wasn't you who caused me to cry. But I appreciate the apology. I've always tried to be as transparent as possible. I'm not an *** here on purpose. When I disagree with people it's not because I have some alterior motive going on or some kind of conflicting interest. I genuinely believe the direction the game is going in is the right way for the game even if the developers keep taking misteps. All I've ever tried to do with my time here is to try to help both the game and the community grow.

Like what Raime said, learn to let go.

Simply have fun with what's here and what the devs have done. Sure, some stuff might not be fun and things may be annoying, but that's just For Honor. Learn to live with that and fight that, it's really no use getting upset over something, especially when it CAN be worked with, ye know?

I've seen some INCREDIBLE PK mains out there, and they can do some amazing things with everything in her kit. I think her bleeds stack, I don't remember, but that's what her kit revolves around.

Going for those deflects and really reading your opponent well rewards PK mains, and that's usually why her win rate may be lower since it takes a good amount of skill to do well with her. She has good tools and attacks, but some people struggle playing her defensively, especially now that deflects were tampered with.

I don't play her personally, because she's one of my big weaknesses on console. Should be easier for me nowadays since I only tend to play Raider and did from the start. She's kinda cheese on console anyway. I can work with Orochi but not so much PK for some reason.

I think it's good that each hero kinda has their own fit in this game in the so-called 'balance' perspective. It really helps differentiate identities, and helps players find their playstyle.

There are certain things to watch out for when you play certain heroes and certain ways to defend or attack. If everyone were similar it would make this game a little boring IMO.

Some people hate bashes, but you just gotta watch out for those and never run OOS. Some people hate hyper armor, but you just gotta be patient and work around or completely shut down that aggressive playstyle with your defense.

Some people hate 400ms lights and spam. You JUST gotta watch out for those and learn to read the tendencies of your opponent and severely punish them.

Some people HATE Raider stunning tap, but you JUST GOTTA WATCH for those, because it's a tool that works.

All in all the moral of this is there are lots of things to watch of because of different playstyles. If everything was so similar and perfectly balanced, this game would become severely defensive and would require less effort overall.

It's what keeps this game diverse and on your toes, and that's why I think For Honor is such a good game. "Damn, I just got OOS parried by a Raider, let me take this 90DMG punish real quick." That's just the game, that's the way it is.

Make less mistakes, use your head more and, learn from mistakes, and most importantly, have fun. It isn't worth investing anger and hope in a game, it never will be.

Technically speaking there isn't any hero in this game that is 'broken'. For Honor is just hard, if people just learn to accept that and make the most of it, they'd feel much better.
