What's up with these people?
When I'm matchmaking and join a four player group, I look at everyone's gears and most of the time, I find that it doesn't make sense. They have random talents, random attributes. There's nothing that synergies. Even on challenge, heroic or dark zone, they might have stacked zero weapon damage or it's very low. Literally no or low damage to elites. It's like they haven't stacked anything. The talents don't make sense, it's like they won't even help. The requirements not met either.
The worst part is, they may have recalibrated random pieces for gear score 500+ or over. Okay, it seems they got more gear score than me (498). Good for them, if that makes them feel better and superior. But their stats are crap. I have to lead the group, play offensively, rush when appropriate, deal the most damage and so on. Crowd control when others won't or haven't thought of it.
Does it frustrate you? Do you play like this, stacking random pieces together without putting thought? And think that high gear score = better? That's not true. I'm tired of encountering these people. I look at it and say to myself... okay. I will probably have to carry this person too. They might not contribute much.
Some will have true patriot or ongoing directive pieces. Or even full sets and I'm like, okay. But I look closely to check attributes and I see they have NO weapon damage, very low DTE attribute. Why...? They could've oriented attributes more towards damage as well... still, random.
I wouldn't say that or think that way. All I'm saying is that I actually have researched the game, builds, and at least had some common sense. But build creating doesn't really take much effort, if know how to and what to look out for.Originally Posted by B41T- Go to original post
It's like these players put too much focus in just playing, doing damage, just to pass. But not looked into builds much, or what to do with attributes.
I'm not the best, and may have nearly fully optimised. But still not perfect. I've played through enough missions, the in-game content and got to build creating part. But I'm tired of people on world tier 5 already... not even doing anything about their pieces. They just slap on random pieces.
Maybe they just dont play enough to have farmed enough gear to make a great build? Its all irrelevant anyway as the game for pvp is dull as...an absolute ton of the player base has left already due to the piss poor decisions by the devs to turn this into td1 where only 2 builds are viable...so you may aswell just make a banging pve build and do the new pve content when it comes out but pvp is dead.
The youtubers and devs have started edging this back to td1 ways of long kill times and bullet sponges. Defender drones are ridiculous and should only be for ongoing directive builds, nemesis needs nerfing so its not a 1 shot. They need to find balance and quickly or this game will die as quickly as td1 did. Im already looking forward to ghost recon
They might not make sense to you, but everyone has a different philosphy and style of play. If you posted your build im sure people will pull it apart, just as they would with mine, but I'm very happy with what I can do.
Sometimes it might simply be the best items they have, though in all honesty, thats a hard excuse to swallow given how easy it is to get gear.
I do know what you mean though. Sometimes I see people running full true patriots and then they are wondering why they need 6 magazines to take down an elite. I think a lot of people run greens because they assume they will be better because of TD1.
Don’t lose sleep or stress out what other players are doing .What makes no sense is why are you worried or stressed about what others are doing .Gimme a Break ....Way To Much time worrying or concerned about how others are playing the game instead of just paying attention to your own
And I think that exactly is the reason why MASSIVE made The Division 2 much easier that it's predecessor. Because a lot of people just wanna "play" and not pay attention to detail.Originally Posted by Ektope Go to original post
Sometimes, it does matter because I would like to have more firepower when tackling the harder in-game contents. Challenging and heroic bounties. Lot of elites in challenge or heroic missions. Long stronghold missions. You get the idea. I would prefer matchmaking with people who have invested some time to make any sort of build. It doesn't matter what it is, but anything. Something that makes sense. But instead, I'm matched with people with a build that is nothing.Originally Posted by MetalGod41 Go to original post
If you see someone with 3,000 skill power and low cooldown, I could tell they put some thought into it. They tried. That's okay by me. But what isn't okay, is completely ignoring what they were creating and putting together. Stats all over the place.
I do want to know what I can expect from the gameplay, when I join groups. Will the group do a lot of damage? Will they need more help? It will take longer? Do I have a reliable team mate with hive reviver, someone who has focused more damage oriented? Those are rare gems to come across in matchmaking. But for dark zone matchmaking, I see people have put thought in, more often. Critical builds, SMG builds.
I usually inspect players because im curious about the dps builds of other players I always hear is so great. I'm always a skillpower player myself. I see they usually have stats like crit chance and crit power on their gear. Often enough no damage to elite on masks etc etc. To me it seems like just some random stuff they picked up and put on as long as it has crit and crit damage. Most of m don't make use of talents like unstoppable force etc.
I only play heroic instances and often when i see their gear im like ok this will be tough but i dont say anything about it to the players since well its not up to me. I'm like ''we will see how it goes''. I dont even mind if we wipe etc or not finish. Im just there for fun.
Funny enough though usually we dont have to much trouble finishing the heroic. At times im in groups and progressing is really hard. It seems thats more the player's fault then a gear problem.Alot of players playing heroic while having ****ty gear seem to know what they are doing while others do not and then you wipe.
What i find pretty disturbing is that on heroics it doesnt even seem to matter what kinda gear you wear to be able to finish it. Maybe we finish it because i crowd control alot since im skillbuild but then still i'd expect better overal group gear to be required but apparently there's no need for that.
So basically you can just slap on some random damage gear and do heroics.
