Mostly, I turn my mic on and try to communicate but some players make you quit the game due to their behavior.

Anyway, my secret is revealed know. Hahaha

I know this is some major tinfoil hat debauchery, but in this day and age I am not comfortable to voicechat with random people. It is extremely unlikely, to the point of having a bigger chance of winning the lottery but still I will not take a risk of ending up in some scammers/trolls personal voiceboard or on some deepfake video.

If there is a text chat I will use that, if there is only voicechat I will either play as solo or as a mute. I only talk with people I know personally.

Hah! Glad I'm not the only one paranoid, lol. I've had many experiences with the mic- sometimes people are as benign as can be, and just want to have fun... in those cases, it can be fun, or really awkward if they keep making mistakes constantly despite your friendly advice. Other times, they just do **** purely for a reaction. Even other times, they mock you for your playstyle or something.

Some people get online purely with the determined intent to ruin somebody's day. And even with the best intentions, after it happens like 5 or 6 times, you become jaded and mistrusting of microphones. That, and with the utmost respect to people towards my own behavior- I'd rather not snap on somebody for just plain being unlikable, lol. Some people can't help it, I get that. Some people are just plain creepy, I get that too. But it's really not my place to insult people for being a total fruitloop, even if I am kinda one myself, heh.

    1. no one cares about your accent - if they do its probably because they have a tiny brain and have never been anywhere - so ultimately - not your problem!

    2. i think you totally do need a mic - not sure if you noticed but there are usually 2 or sometimes 4 people on your team. communication would help. no need to be tactical. "he's over there", "he's behind that building", "sniper in the building" any variation of those will work.

no offense but you two remind me of the people at the nursing home i used to work at...
i think you two are a bit paranoid - and if you did some research you would see your fear is not grounded in any type of real evidence

those people you run into that dont have a good heart just suck an there are tons of em everywhere not just on PS4 - i think you should take the chance and you might see you may find some worthwhile PS4 or XBOX or PC people out there that are worth spending your digital time with -

No offense but I don't really care what you think or what I remind you of, however patronizing tone you want to take. Why dont you do some research on minding your own business? I only voicechat with my friends, not some anonymous randoms. If I want to get new acquintances I have much more effective ways for that than videogames.

Thank you for this expert diagnose of my life and mental state based on anonymous comments made on a internet forum, doctor Molly. Who knew someone with "MDMA" on their nickname would act a little pretentious?
