The OP is 100% right. What baffles me is not the missing of the AI Team. Storywise things hit the fan and you are lost behind enemy lines. **** happens and this could happen too. Ubi wants to show us a small part of this SOF struggle, a kind of SERE experience, okay. But the nonsense with classes should not be there. You are alone, you have to adapt, but the player is not superman. So things should be weighted. Wanna bring the big guns, body armour and other toys to the show - okay, but your stamina will be out in no time. Wanna go light and fast - sure can do, but better dont forget ammo. Classes? Does Ubi think the players are to dumb to decide what workload we want for our missions? Dont understand the intentions but i sense this has something in common with pvp...
Could tiered loot work in a more realistic title without resorting to an RPG levelling system?
For each weapon to procure it could still be classed as uncommon, exotic or whatever based purely on the attachments and customisations, which affect its handling and other stats. Like the weapon upgrades you can research in Metal Gear Solid V. So basically regular grunts carry stock weapons with basic optics, but higher-ranked soldiers will have their own customised weapons with fancier attachments. As someone else said, that even makes more sense than finding attachments in random boxes, which is how Wildlands works.
And if you get a weapon with a sweet attachment, you should be able to move that attachment to other compatible weapons.
Would that work?
I ignore if there was an item with a functionality similar to this on The Division series, but that Assassins Creed inspired smoke bomb thingy is a clear example of the uncanny ability Ubiflabby has to subvert your expectations; why not give us a good ol`smoke grenade instead ey? That smoke bomb seems to take effect in the immediate vicinity the player, what if I wanted to generate a smoke screen 20 feet away from me, to obscure my AI...er...all-human teammates's movements?
Well only one class gets the smoke grenade/bomb, so there is that. Amazing these ghosts have forgotten basic infantry skills.Originally Posted by El_Cuervacho Go to original post
